Nihara Resort and Spa Cochin

My family and I spent 3 nights at Nihara Resort & Spa during our first ever visit to Kerala - and it was nothing short of fantastic. The staff at Nihara are simply unmatched. We were met with warm smiles, a welcome drink, and homely energy as soon as we arrived - shoutout to Jephy, Juby, Nafia, Bliss and Prince who welcomed us! We experienced several amenities and excursions offered by the resort, starting with the Islands Tour with Tropiq Getaways. It was one of the best tours we’ve ever been on - thanks to our guide, Hrithik! He was so passionate and excited to share his culture and home, and had an answer for every question we had. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and his energy made us feel so grateful for the beautiful lands we were on. As a part of the tour we visited a crab farm and pokkali fields, where we were also offered tender coconut and a snack. 10/10 experience! We also got massages at Nihara’s Ayurvedic spa, which were amazing. A thorough process where we went through a consultation with the doctor onsite to determine the best massage for each of us, resulting in the best experience. Staying at the meandering pool cottages, we also had an extra bit of relaxation through the private pool area. Travelling between Mumbai and Goa, this was the perfect rest stop we needed. Finally, we were lucky enough to be at Nihara during the Riverside Grill’s first ever Seafood Festival! We dined at the buffet for two nights out of the three as it was such good value, great quality, and simply delicious. The live cooking stations and fresh juice were just the cherry on top! The multi cuisine restaurant at Nihara was also where we dined every day for breakfast and once for lunch - always delicious with fresh food made in house. The executive chef, Baburaj, was always around and chatted with us multiple times, always willing to go out of his way to ensure that we were eating whatever we wanted and were having a good time. Our stay at Nihara was simply wonderful and we can’t wait to be back one day on their beautiful, lush grounds. From the restaurants, to the Ayurvedic spa, to the games room, to the pool… relaxation awaits you at Nihara!

Amazing experience for our first 5 days in India. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Nafia, sadjha, Abin, Ayyapann, Prince George and everyone else at Nihara were truly wonderful.

Visiting with my family was a truly memorable experience. We enjoyed a peaceful and comfortable stay. The pool and recreational activities kept us entertained. The ambience was welcoming, and the food was good.

Beautiful ambience. A rustic feel right in the middle of the city. Rich vegetation and a quiet, laidback environs add extra charm to the experience. Hospitable staff is certainly an extra plus.

I came to Nihara with my wife as part of a retreat from Dubai. To my knowledge, it was the first retreat to be held here and it was absolutely perfect in all manner! The staff are so courteous, well mannered and always greet you with a smile throughout the day. The atmosphere in the resort is so green and pleasant throughout the day. It was truly and immersive experience with nature. They even have a boat ride on the big lake closeby with another restaurant there. Food was great and the chef was always accommodating and explaining to the retreat guests about the food. Wholesome experience and will definitely visit again.
