Very nice and cosy ryokan with beautiful interiors, perfect personnel service and onsen. Private bath was great. Also we liked bath with hot water on the balcony in a room. Good location in Arima.

The property is a little out of the way but you can arrange for the hotel to pick you up from where you are. The service here is good, staff are attentive and quick to assist. Upon arriving, the staff will greet you, bring you to your room and introduce the property. The facilities look old but it's clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony is very serene. Yukata was provided but Pyjamas is not provided, you can rent it for an additional charge. Meals are buffet style only.

The hotel is quiet and comfortable, with large rooms.
If you drive yourself, it is more suitable and parking is convenient. I usually park underground and find the doorman to swipe the parking card before driving out.
Kyoto is not big and it is close to everywhere!
There is a guy at the front desk No. 5 who is learning Chinese! He works very hard, I hope he can be more proficient!

Amazing outdoor onsen and close to town and you should definitely order a transfer from the train station if you are not used to climbing steep roads. Overall it was a great stay for a reasonable price and the town area had tonnes of good food and creative souvenirs.

Good hotel for relaxation and enjoying the onsen. The golden pool is hot spring salt water from the strata formed 6 mil years ago and very relaxing.
Unfortunately the course dinners was much below our expectations compared to those we had at other areas similar resorts.

This hot spring hotel is perfect, their service is excellent. My family and I have a really good experience in here and we all enjoy the special hot spring provided, though there is one thing to remind all of you, bring your towels from your room before going to onsen coz no towels will be provided in the onsen

The service was impeccable. The staff were very friendly and generally able to communicate in English. Their service is so good that they wipe down all your luggage upon arrival at the hotel, and my bags came out cleaner than when I came!
The food also left us speechless. I’ve never tasted such a delicious meal, and I consider myself a foodie. The dishes were prepared fresh right in front of us. Every detail was attended to, from presentation to taste. It deserves a 100% without a doubt. Since I had a food allergy, they were careful to leave out the allergen in all the foods. I was really thankful for that, because it’s not always a given at Asian restaurants.
The establishment itself is dated, but that’s why we chose it in the first place- to feel the aura of tradition. Having said that though, it was slightly inconvenient that there was no shower inside our room. However, it wasn’t too much of a problem because the shared shower/onsen room was just a short distance from our room, and it was generally not occupied. When we stayed there, there was a storm going on, so the the rain crashing on the window and the outside blinds gave off a spooky feeling, which added to the sense of adventure.

This was our second visit here. The staff is very helpful, and there is a free transfer not just to and from the station - if you want a pickup from the town or the ropeway during your stay, they will help too. The private baths are beautiful and very well maintained, and the reserve-next-as-you-leave-the-previous system is very convenient. Overall, great experience.

Although the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the station, it is all uphill, mainly for driving. It will be very hard to walk to the hotel with a large suitcase. People who are not physically fit should walk for at least 20 minutes. The hotel does not have its own shuttle bus, so you can only rely on The Gran Prince Hotel to arrange it. Although there is a shuttle to 1930, it may not be arranged. If you want to have lunch or dinner, you need to walk 15 minutes to the restaurant in the hot spring street. There are no restaurants nearby. The staff are very polite, but please note that there is no staff at the front desk from 1000 to 1500. The 5-story building is older in facilities but the maintenance is OK. The sound insulation of the room is average. The bathhouse has a golden spring pool on the 5th floor, a hotter bath and a cold water pool, and a sauna room. The opening hours are 0600-1000 and 1500-2300.

What an amazing stay! It exceeded all expectations. The place is super nice with design interior, rooms are warm, spacious and comfortable. The whole place is modern, yet has a very traditional authentic feel and feels serene.
The staff is very attentive, caring and fulfills your every need - they make you feel welcome, and explain everything to you very well even if you are a foreigner, there was no problem communicating in english.
You are guaranteed 2 private stays in the private onsen spa of your chice - one in the evening and one in the morning, the time slots are more than enough to cover guest capacity and you have choice. The public onsen is pretty awesome too, although i felt so relaxed after private onsen for so long i went there just because of curiosity lol.
The dinner and breakfast are HUGE and are SUPER tasty. Excellent products and execution, it was my first time tasting a5 wagyu. I recommend you do not eat lunch before coming to the ryokan for dinner, maybe just breakfast or something small because you will want to eat everything in this amazing meal set. I still feel kind of full 1 day after checking out.
The hotel has nice common areas with free beverages, board games, ping pong ans some slot machines for entertainment. You can reserve karaoke room or get massaged in the automatic massage chairs. After we chcecked in at 3pm we did not need to go anywhere away from the hotel and just enjoyed our time there.
If you want to book very specific timeslots for the private spa come in at that 3pm, because people queue up 30 min before in the lobby. Although i felt this was not really necessarry because like i said, the capacity is calculated well and you are guaranteed 2 entramces with available time slots. The first time slot starts at 4pm and is in 1hr intervals - with 5 available onsens up until the night. Morning onsen had plenty of free slots.
They also offer free shuttle bus and it was always quick, we even called from public telephone in Arima when before checkin and had no problems arranging pickup in english.
What i wish is if they were a little bit more flexible with breakfast times, because you also reserve a time slot but it's not like it's a course meal but traditional breakfast + buffet and you have to decide at the check in, which is kind of soon to think about when you want to have morning meal, but it's not too big problem. I guess it is a way to prevent everyone rushing in 5 min before closing time like some people do. The breakfast has plenty of variety and you even get a preheated own grill!
Overall, we couldn't pick a better place for our visit in Arima, we are so relaxed and it was oje of the best places we have ever been to!

GGuest UserThe service is very good, the environment is beautiful, the room is very clean and quiet, the meals are seasonal and taste good. It is my first time to try Japanese hot springs and tatami, and it feels very good. It would be great if the private bath could be given once. Overall, I am very satisfied!

Amazing
TTomoko27I went with my mother, 74, my only daughter, 10, and I. The room is large like a suite room, but it was a little subtle because it was the size of the 3 rooms that I forcibly attached, but I thought it was a stone's throw because there was only a vacancy from this site. The bath was good! Isn't it basically a high inn? It was a suite so I stayed over 100,000 yen!

GGuest UserThe environment and dishes are quite satisfactory. The rice is as delicious as ever, but the overall price is not high. It may be that the reputation of Ma Hot Spring is great, and the boss is really big (there are many celebrities in the store to take photos).

Great
GGuest UserThe front desk service is very good. The room is very good, the floor-to-ceiling corner window has a beautiful view outside the window, the room facilities are very new, the room facilities are very complete, the room coffee and the refrigerator are very rich, the drinks are full, very considerate. The shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are all Bulgari, the experience is very good. They also thoughtfully prepared men's and women's skin care travel packs, which is very attentive. I would like to especially praise the staff of Hiroko-san who has been serving us since we received them during our stay. They are very enthusiastic, very attentive and very nice. The experience brought to us during our stay was very comfortable and very good. I look forward to meeting Hiroko-san again next time I stay.

GGuest UserDuring the Bon Festival, there is no nearby hotel when going to Awaji Island
It's a bit far away, but I stayed here for two days.
Location is very good because it is located in Arima Onsen town
The parking lot is also nearby and you can lend it for free
Thank you for those who go by car!!
it's over 20 o'clock in check-in time
I checked in at 22:00.
i've been contacted in advance, and the staff
I responded without a disgusting face!
thank you. . .
there's no toilet, no bathroom, no bath in the room.
I felt quite inconvenient.
It is not possible to do it because the price setting is low for the location. .
Thank you for two days.

GGuest UserIt feels good and the location is easy to find. The shop in Arima is closed at 6 o'clock. You can come early if you want to come. Unfortunately, the hotel can only check in at 3 o'clock, and then check out at 10:30 in the morning. In the evening, you can take a bath or take a walk, and you can wear the hotel's yukata to walk around the bubble gold and silver soup. Then the hotel you stay in has its own free hot spring, I suggest you not to go, the ambient lighting is a bit dark haha, after all, the history is relatively long, you can go to Jintang Yintang.

GGuest UserWhen you arrive at the Horse Station Hotel, you will send a car to pick you up. The overall service is good. It is set to have one berth and two meals, and it will be better to stay early. Dinner has a small hot pot and sashimi for Kobe beef, the room is ok, and the breakfast tastes good.

XXinbeidefudechengyuThe hotel is located in the hot spring street, about 10 minutes to the Hanshin tram high-speed bus, the hotel has a long history, but the health situation can be, there are some, the hot spring has golden soup, open-air wind, very comfortable! No meals, snack restaurants outside, the reception is Japanese staff, but through the translation machine can understand the store regulations. Special thanks to a male employee in the store for helping to put the wheels of the suitcases on, which is a lot more convenient! There is also a bed reception for the old woman is amiable, very nice! It is the hotel with Ma Hot Springs that is small and expensive, but it is worth it to come to a famous place in the autumn leaves.
