Upmarket, clean and super luxurious rooms, exceptional food, perfect location and friendly helpful staff. Easy access, efficient staff, wonderful dining room and bar with amazing views of Knysna lagoon. Breakfast was divine and food cooked superbly by the chef.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting old friends. The room was excellent, as were the staff. We entertained two couples for dinner at Daniela's and it was one of the best meals we had on our Cape road trip. Highly recommended. TonyC Howick

Due to a very busy weekend on Leisure Isle we were treated to an upgrade to their penthouse suite which is absolutely superb . All the staff were very friendly and helpful, with one of the ladies even going to the trouble of going to her house to get some aftersun for us which was a lovely gesture. The property is ideally situated on Liesure Isle affording excellent views over the bay. And has its own off road parking as well. This is a highly recommended place to stay whilst on the Garden Route in the Knysna area.

As returning guests of this lodge over the years we were very disappointed to see that no investment has gone into the upkeep or refreshment of what was once a lovely place to stay on Liesure Isle and it’s really just degraded and is very tired. The lodge is understaffed so one person attends to food and beverage, luggage, maintenance and guest assistance. Our room, whilst the most expensive at the lodge, was like a hot box, and there are no air conditioners. Whilst a ceiling fan is somewhat helpful additional fans should be considered for the hot months because it’s unpleasant spending time in such a hot environment where one should be relaxing. The drains in our bathroom smelled so bad I couldn’t spend time in there. The bathroom towels have seen better days. And in todays times with all there is on offer entertainment wise, the lodge has about 6 DSTV channels and the signal is bad. Sadly, we won’t be returning or recommending this place again. It’s very over priced and the product definitely doesn’t justify the rates.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! It was like home away from home! Especially Innocent who was serving the food, the drinks and who seemed to never sleep or leave the premises was great! He was joking around with the kids and was very friendly.

A wonderful hidden gem run by two lovely ladies and smiling staff. A simple 20 meter walk to the beach and warm lagoon. We had room 1 which was perfect with beautiful views of the lagoon and mountains. Lovely pool area and delicious food made this lodge a joy to stay in. Nothing was too much trouble with the cheerful Innocent always nearby to help.
