the location is great! very close to viewpoints, restaurants and overall very safe. the chalet itself is clean, fully equipped with everything you need, with a great beach where you can always take a SUP or canoe. there are a couple of things that need to be mentioned - the smell of damp wood and the slope of the floor in the bedroom - but personally this did not spoil the impression for us, although for someone it may be important. thanks for the hospitality)

Breathtaking views, that has an immediate effect of relaxation. The chalet equipment is of the highest quality. This was one of the easier away from home holiday trips. It is the finer details that counts and this resort gets it right. Friendly, approachable and well informed staff. Overall it exceeded our expectations.

We stayed in Bottom Cottage on the waters edge,and it was without doubt the highlight of our journey. From the warm greeting to the actual cottage, it was perfect in every way possible. We will be back, I assure you. There was NOTHING that had not been thought of. The location was incredible, and the cottage was spotless, warm, cozy, and equipped with every kitchen appliance you could think of. The bedding of high-grade Egyptian cotton, the TV with full DSTV, and even wood and kindling should you wish to braai. It's possibly the most romantic place I have ever visited!

You won’t find a more beautiful location than this on the Knysna Heads - facing into the sun, surrounded by old trees with direct and private access to the lagoon.

The property was beautiful and seeing the rhinos every morning was an added bonus.The rooms were clean and well equiped.The only thing that was lacking was having the room cleaned daily and there was no hot water what so ever for us to take a hot shower as the early mornings and the late evenings were very cold.

Another visit to the little piece of Paradise that is Under Milkwood. At least 5 years running: we’re hoping for another 10 at least…… Please never change! The staff are wonderful, from the managers to the housekeepers to the gardeners and night watchmen. We love the situation, the fact that the chalets blend in harmoniously with the existing natural world and are almost invisible from the lagoon, unlike so many concrete monstrosities. Having said that, chalet Bayview would live up to its name after a light shearing of foliage around the deck! And Skylark’s bbq station could use an extra shelf-bar for ease of braai….. We simply love everything else… thank you and we’ll see you again soon!

We always love staying at Under Milkwood! Such a relaxed atmosphere. Close to everything but feels if you're at an exotic island!! Lovely gardens, private swimming area and all excellently maintained.
