Cannot fault Villa Castolini on any level. Location - overlooking the lagoon and mountains. Has everything you need even down to an open 24 hours honesty bar! The staff couldn't have been nicer, the breakfast goes on until a very civilized 11am and is excellent. What can I say - picturesque, luxurious 6star!

Super nice villa! The view of the Knysna lagoon is magnificent! Very well located, close to Knysna but also a very beautiful beach on the other side, we find everything nearby. The rooms are large and we feel really good there. Special mention for the setting, magnificent place to get married! Too bad it's too far for us.

Breathtaking views from the top of the mountain onto the beautiful Knysna lagoon. Francios was extremely kind and friendly as well as the breakfast staff! Thank you for making our honeymoon stay one to remember, 10/10 recommend to newlyweds, families and singles. We would definitely be back in the near future. Thank you!!

I cannot praise this place enough. Located across the lagoon from Knysna atop a hill. The villa is contained within a walled compound on a hilltop with no neighbours. As soon as you pass through the electric gates you know it is something special. Enter and go down the stairs to find reception. The lady couldn't have been nicer, she gave us a full tour of the hotel - Airy restaurant area where they serve a cracking breakfast, honesty bar (fully stocked), pool area, and bedrooms. The rooms all afford a view over the lagoon, are large, clean, comfortable, and well equipped - fridge, TV, T&C, en-suite. We spent a very comfortable two nights here, loved the breakfast, easy to reach the surrounding places, and especially enjoyed the bar. Upon check out we managed to leave one of our bags in the room. The hotel manager contacted me before I even noticed and arranged to ship it onwards at his own expense! This hotel also serves as a wedding venue. It certainly looks the part and with service like that I almost want to get married all over again.

Villa Castolini is lovely. From the minute we arrived until we left the staff were friendly and at one's beck & call. Nothing was too much trouble.
The room and bathroom were neat, tidy and very clean.
The facilities are top notch.
A very pleasant stay. One I will definitely recommend.

Spectacular views with an amazing swimming pool.
I found this little gem at the last minute and when I pulled up, I was so pleasantly surprised. It looks like something out of Italy has a Tuscany feel to it but had lots of character and when I went inside it was even more beautiful.
Beautiful views from the swimming pool and amazing staff that made my stay very enjoyable. If I ever go back to South Africa, I would definitely stay there again.
