As a returning customer, I was extremely disappointed to see how much the standard of the hotel has declined. Upon our arrival at the standard check-in time, we were taken to our room only to find that it hadn’t been prepared — housekeeping staff were still inside cleaning. We had to return to reception and wait for an hour and a half before we were finally given access to a ready room. Later that evening, we called reception to report that there was no hot water in the room. After an hour with no response, we had to call again. Eventually, maintenance arrived but was unable to determine the cause and said they would investigate further. Unfortunately, the issue wasn’t resolved that night, and no update was provided, meaning we were unable to shower. We also informed the maintenance staff that the fridge was not working and that the patio light (which is essential at night, especially with the hot tub outside) wasn’t functioning either. We were told the lights were under renovation, but no further action was taken. Although the hot water issue was resolved the next morning, the fridge and patio light remained broken for the duration of our stay. On a positive note, the staff at the restaurant, bar, and concierge were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, given the issues we experienced with the room — and how far the overall room standards seem to have fallen — it's unlikely we would choose to return, despite how much my daughter enjoys the hotel and its wonderful staff.

Spent a week at Pezula, explored Garden Route from here- easy. Accommodation was fantastic, bedding soft, large room, smart tv (login with ur own Netflix/ Disney+ etc), bathroom, amenities, soft towels, wood fire place in your room as well your own wood fired hot tub. We had interleading room for us/ kids. Breakfast spread and meals were great with all options covered. What was great is NO PORK, so we could very comfortably eat at the restaurant across all our meals. Full spa/ gym/ heated indoor pool (kids allowed 6-9 am and 6-9pm) was a good compromise. Play area indoors for the kids with fuzball, table tennis and play gym. Outside Jungle gyms/ swings dotted all around the estate. No supervision though. Views, excursions, exploring estate was fantastic. Service was great from everyone, really went out of their way in every way possible. We did Fancourt LY and Pezula TY, in summary- + Pezula easier base to explore Garden Route + NO Pork, easier to eat at hotel +Hot tub ++interleading rooms (Fancourt kids get a rollout/ couch in lounge of your unit) + Fancourt more pools, separate kids/ adults + Supervision for your kids (ie u can sign them in and then do your own thing) + PlayStation/ older kids/ Teens entertainment

We were constantly cold during our stay, eco rooms are not climate controlled. We were in normal room with heater but the heating does not work at all, we constantly had to burn fire wood. There is one restaurant on the property with really bad food. This is the first time we ever had to return a dessert because we couldn’t eat it. Staff is very nice and helpful with the resources they have at their disposal.

Really badly maintained. Room service was very bad no towels or water was kept in the room . No plug points were working.shower not running properly . Dirty linen left as it is . Carpets look very filthy . Overall quite disappointed with the staff attitude and the maintenance

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! From the spa manager, Zanele and the therapists, to the reception desk staff, Jaydene on breakfast service and Nicolas at Zach’s restaurant, to all the behind the scenes staff members thank you for the most amazing and relaxing weekend. We will never forget this experience and trip. We can’t wait to return.

We did not have hot water for 5 days, manager did not take our complaints seriously - which there were many - and even forgot I called him! Room was not cleaned past midday on 3 occasions, so we had to wait at the golf club and request this. No room service, besides pizza now (no one cleaned). 4 out of 5 restaurant meals were incorrectly brought. Partner did not receive his pre-organised breakfast box for the 21 km marathon that everyone was visiting for. Overall, poor management.

This is my second stay at Pezula. Beautiful property. You need atleast 3 nights at this resort if you are a golfer, 2 nights if not. The golf course is a golfers dream. The Spa is a retreat of sorts. We came in winter but if in summer we could enjoy the Noetsi picnic. We had a room with hot tub outside. Spacious rooms with everything you could ask for.

Pezula Resort is truly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine friendliness that made us feel like more than just guests — we felt like family. The staff were exceptional: from the lovely lady who cleaned our villa daily (we truly appreciated her kindness!), to Mashudu, Luciano, and the ever-professional and warm Mr. B at the office — each person played a part in making our stay unforgettable. It honestly felt like I was at home. I’ve never experienced such VIP treatment before, but Pezula made me feel seen, valued, and cared for. The level of service was unmatched — attentive, personal, and from the heart. I’m definitely coming back! Thank you, Pezula, for making our stay so special. You’ve set a new standard for hospitality in my book.
