The location was good and it was convenient for access to many areas. You can eat breakfast quite a bit. The room was large and I felt like a celebrity. I always use it with confidence.

Very nice hotel, clean, bright and convenient, right on campus. Parking is $ 20, which is a bit expensive. UTK is much more beautiful than when I was studying, I like it. Cumberland Avenue in front of the hotel is wider and cleaner than before.

I think the hotel has aged very well. I asked my counterpart traveling with me and he thought - ehhh - it's a Fairfield. But I think it's still nice - even years later. Sure, wallpaper is falling off, walls are marked - but just the color palate is happy and it's very clean. And unlike what seems like the rest of the Fairfields, their breakfast is back to normal. Two issues - one - road noise - need to remember to ask (at any Knoxville hotel) to not face the freeway. Usually my status automatically gets that. Two - a car alarm went off for like 15 mins - but not sure what they could do to stop that - but then with the road noise I couldn't sleep. It's a winner of a hotel for sure.

The staff was great. Loved the room. The ability to enter the hotel if you parked on the 2nd floor of the parking was a great plus. The only issue I had was the noise from the late night traffic. I would stay there again.

Excellent stay! No complaints. Rooms were clean, halls were quiet, all offered amenities were available. Would absolutely stay here again. Holiday Inn Express probably has the best breakfast in the industry. This is located near the famous McKay’s, a huge used books, music, and video game and collectibles store. Also about a six minute drive to UT Medical Center.

Janice, formerly known as ”Strephanie the Old Fashioned Queen” provided service, attention, and delicious drinks to a degree that most hotel bartenders would dare to travel to. Janice had looks. Janice had sex appeal. Janice was punctual, most of the time. However Janice had skills that would put East Tennessee's best bartenders to shame. Her attention to detail was undeniable as seen in the large, delicious, smooth ice balls in my old fashioneds. I once saw a man walk up to Janice, hold his empty wine glass up to her, and say, ”more please.” Janice filled his glass promptly, way past where I would've filled it, and accepted a $56 tip. Great work, Janice, for an average Pinot Grigio. That guy was a total tool, though. Janice was ”Bright as a Button” and her smile radiates throughout the bar...and my dreams. I'll miss you, Janice.
