A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience The hotel’s setting struck the perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away. Beautiful Skyline and Water Views From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. A Studio Room That Feels Like Home Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I can’t stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. A Breakfast with Heart Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal."

"Very good hotel, we booked a deluxe double room, the room is facing the street, very big and beautiful. The room rate includes breakfast and dinner and Fika cake in the afternoon. It is very cost-effective. The breakfast is very rich. The dinner is relatively simple. There is a meat dish (change every day) and a fixed salad, but the taste is good. Don't worry about eating every day. The location of the hotel is 6～ 8 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station. There are many cars at the tram station opposite the train station to go to various attractions. The bus station next to the train station can take the airport bus to the airport, which is more convenient to travel. There is a Coop next door to the hotel for easy purchasing daily necessities. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, helping us solve the shower use problem, and on the last day, we also helped pack breakfast in advance due to our early check-out. In short, it is highly recommended to live here."

"Cozy hotel with friendly personnel, and an okay single room. It wasn’t large, but it was clean. More than good enough for the two nights I stayed there. But it was in need of maintenance though: the doors and such were quite badly damaged. I’ve added breakfast to my booking, and this was really good! Lots to choose from, and delicious. One complaint: the rooms facing the street are not soundproofed enough in my opinion, too much of the noise of the quite busy road outside came in😕 Would stay again though, and I heard the double rooms are less noisy as these don’t face the street."

"Completely exceeded expectations; the best value hotel for my European trip, bar none. First, the room was surprisingly large, with two desks, a small round table, a large bed and sofa bed, a spacious bathroom, and a kitchen. Breakfast was decent, the buffet dinner was average, but considering the room rate included breakfast and dinner, it was incredibly generous. After all, in expensive Scandinavia, getting a free dinner is a welcome treat. Gothenburg is also a very beautiful city; I especially recommend the Gothenburg Natural History Museum and the Space Museum."

"I had a great stay at DA Apartment. The unit is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to feel at home. The location is excellent — just about 5 minutes’ walk to the tram stop and Central Station, and close to cafés, restaurants, and shops. For Muslim travelers, there’s even a halal kebab place just 2 minutes away at the corner. The area feels safe and convenient, and check-in was smooth with helpful communication from the host. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-located and comfortable stay in the city."

"The room was spacious and clean, the hotel staff was very warm and friendly This hotel was originally an office designed by the ship, but later converted into a small hotel. It is located on the bank of the river and the pier. There is a small restaurant downstairs. The fish is particularly good. The surrounding is very convenient, there are supermarket bars, you can take a boat to the old town."
