The family-run inn & hotel is located in the center of Böhming in the Altmühltal nature park, with an unobstructed view of the Altmühl and the rocky Jura slopes. The Altmühl cycle path and Altmühl panorama path lead right past the house. The comfort rooms were newly renovated in 2022 - with a balcony or terrace. In all rooms and in the covered beer garden, guests are treated to Bavarian, regional cuisine. I have only given one star because the hotel was clean. But otherwise the whole experience (3 nights) was awful. Despite complaints of no wifi in my room over and over, I was treated with rude responses and basically not caring about fixing it. The second day I was completely ignored. So it was never fixed. I would not recommend this hotel purely because the staff and the Manager were extremely unwelcoming and unhelpful. Nothing is written in English and no offer to translate is offered. Finally, the car park was taken over for an event, but no warning was given and we were told to park on the street. Just terrible "customer service". I have travelled the world and stayed in many, many hotels and never been treated so poorly!

Wij hebben hier overnacht op onze heenreis naar Oostenrijk. Het hotel is mooi gelegen, niet ver van de snelweg. De vernieuwde comfortkamer was aangenaam en ruim met een mooi terras. Het enige wat wij nogal vreemd vonden is de indeling van de badkamer. De wc stond nl. zeer kort bij de douche. Het eten in het restaurant was van een zeer goede kwaliteit aan een goede prijs. Wij gaan hier zeker terugkomen op onze reizen naar Oostenrijk.

Tolle neue Zimmer mit sehr bequemen Matratzen und schöne Aussicht in die Natur. Wir hatten mit unseren zwei Kindern 12 und 16 ein Komfortzimmer und ein daneben liegendes Zimmer mit getrennten Betten gebucht und uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders war das Frühstück auf der Terrasse sowie das dazugehörige Wirtshaus - moderne Speisen zu gutem Preis.

Auf der Heimreise haben wir (Familie, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) spontan eine Nacht im Römercastell verbracht. Uns wurde ein geräumiges Familienzimmer angeboten, welches wir schon vor dem Bezug bezahlen mussten. Später stellte sich heraus warum. Nach einem leckeren Abendessen im dortigen Wirtshaus wurde klar, dass unser Zimmer direkt über der lautesten Gastraum lag. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass unsere Betten im Wirtshaus standen… Bis spät in die Nacht (ca. 1:30 h) war es uns nicht möglich zu schlafen. Wir suchten das Gespräch mit dem Gastwirt. Dieser wies uns darauf hin, dass er nicht verpflichtet sei, die Gäste über den Umstand, dass es so laut werde, im Vorfeld zu informieren. Unserer Meinung nach ist es kein angemessenes Geschäftsgebaren diesen Umstand zu verschweigen. Trotz des eigentlich sauberen und geräumigen Zimmers und dem standard Hotel Frühstück können wir nur einen Punkt vergeben, da unser Grundbedürfnis nach Schlaf nicht erfüllt wurde.

Hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und super Blick auf das Altmühltal. Alles neu renoviert. Guter Standard. Nette Leute, sehr unkompliziert. Restaurant mit guter Qualität und guten Preisen. Bekamen einen Nachtisch aufs Haus.
