We booked a room with two beds for two adults, two kids. This was just for one night. We had already stayed several days in Corolla and wanted to stay one more day in OBX down in Kill Devil Hills area. The day before our stay at See Sea, we received an email about checkin. Strangely we were booked for the suite room “Big Kahuna.” We thought “okay, a nice upgrade; maybe they needed to switch our room to accommodate other reservations for the weekend.” The room that we originally booked was designated as pet free, which is what we wanted. The Big Kahuna was pet friendly and smelled of wet dog and dog urine. The cleaning supplies used to cover up the smell wore off in the evening. This hotel has no front desk so how were we to request to switch rooms? So we toughed it out for the night. The smell was gross. The carpets were so dirty and stained! I slept very little counting down the hours to get out of the room and the bad smell! We had booked this motel since many of the reviews said it was clean. Well the pet friendly room was not! We were very disappointed. So if you are going to stay here make sure you get the room you booked originally and make sure you are okay with having no motel employee on site. I’m definitely going to stay at a hotel in OBX that has staff on site next time! Parking is indeed very tight as other reviews state. Pool is small and there are rooms right above the pool. It’s an odd set up in a very tiny lot of land.

Room is small BUT very nice. Has fridge, microwave, toaster oven and single serve coffee maker that takes the pods. Nice bathroom and it's easy to control the temp in the room. Do wish there were some chairs in the room. Great location. Close to public access, easy walk. Or you can drive to it and park. Nice pool.

This place is a very good budget option for one or two people to stay at in the area. I personally thought the room and bathroom were both very good and up to date. There was a small section around the tub that was missed when it was cleaned but that's okay. People make mistakes. I would offer two suggestions that could improve the experience: 1. Add a small broom and dustpan for the sand. 2. Add some small curtain for the window closest to the bed. These two things are not essential but they would help a little. My biggest issue is the tight parking. It's tight! I mean it, tight! I'm really glad I came in late May when there are very few people here. Otherwise I don't know what I would do with the lot filled. Just be aware of how tight the parking is; look on Google maps and see if you can get a little idea of it for yourself. Perhaps it's no big deal for most people. I personally wish I knew it was this tight. But like I said, it was empty when I stayed so I wasn't frustrated over it.and honestly I don't know what the solution is for such a tight lot. I get it, that's just the space they have. It's a good place just a little crammed.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and were extremely happy with our choice. Its small, parking is tight, but the rooms are very clean, bed comfy, and it had the amenities of larger chains to make your stay an enjoyable one. There is a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, small table and chairs and decent flat screen. The pool isn't huge but there are a decent number of loungers around it. The beach is only about a 4 min walk almost directly across the street and down a large access path. Don't overlook this little gem of a facility. The method of getting your access to your room is a little different but worked wel.

The room was clean and well decorated, rooms were smaller than they appeared on the web site. Staff was not overly helpful or friendly. Pool was clean and well maintained but also much smaller then it appeared on the web site. Beds were comfortable with uncomfortable pillows. Value for the price would be 7 stars. Parking tight and limited.

The See Sea is cute, clean and cozy (some may say small-ish) but we loved it. Public beach access is about a 1/2 block away. The pool is small but relaxing. Because of covid, they don't have regular house keeping right now. It wasn't a problem except for the sand. I'd bring a broom just to get all the sand out. We'd very much recommend staying here. It's not fancy but it IS unique and has everything you need!

The room was small and with a table and two chairs a little crowded. Overall the room was clean but the carpet was extremely dirty and should be replaced. A beach access was across the road and was within walking distance to a few restaurants.
