Premier Inn Kendal Central

A warm welcome awaited us and a swift check in. Our standard room was clean and comfortable - the beds at Premier Inns are amazing! My husband and I opted for the meal deal which is brilliant value for money. We had nachos, goujons, steak and a burger - all delicious. The staff are a really knowledgeable and friendly bunch, but shout outs to Hazel and Rose who explained how everything worked and looked after us very well. Great hotel in the beautiful and wonderful Kendal.

We had a family meal and Rose and Hazel were extremely friendly. They were very attentive to our needs and always checking to see if we needed anything. The food was to a good standard and everyone enjoyed their meals. They were exceptionally friendly towards the kids which was lovely and even gave them a little gift bag which made their day.

Okay stay overall and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were, however, a few noteworthy issues. Firstly, the hotel is clearly understaffed and it did not make for a nice experience watching the staff run around stressed - be kinder to your staff, Premier Inn! Secondly, the room was unkept: there were a few stains in the bathroom and bedroom; the room was in certain need of a refurbishment. Overall, not the best Premier Inn. Would stay somewhere else if going to Kendal next time.

Checked in to be told no restaurant for evening meal which meant additional cost using external restaurant. Hotel staff couldn’t recommend any restaurant due to limited knowledge of area. WiFi apparently super fast at a cost of £8 for 24 hours was far slowing than using 5G. Waste of money. Breakfast OK. Room however was exceptional. Premier Plus. Bit expensive but understandable regarding location in summer time. Staffing levels not brilliant, but friendly.

Overall the hotel is comfy as a standard room you would expect from premier inn. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Hazel and Rose at the restaurant has ensured we are looked after. Jade at reception was ever so helpful in sorting the issue with our aircon in the room thats not working properly. It was so hot in the room. She quickly changed our room and all good and cheerful. The only reason I gave 4stars and not 5, is the food and drink options for dinner wasn't as great as quite a few things on menu they ran out. Also room only have 1 bath towel, even it's booked for 2 people stay. We ended up popping downstairs to get another towel. But generally we are happy with our stay and staffs are friendly and helpful. Will recommend.
