Mistake, at least for me. Good, large pool clean, airy area, garden. -no music harassment. -friendly people. -big room on the beach. Bad -room was like a fifty-year-old room in India with its decor and furniture, awful. air conditioning could not be repaired but it was windy for a year so the airway from the sea. -In the hot season you are fd. -the food was awful, the worst thing I've ever had in Zansibar over my years. customers asked what the fish are did not dare to eat, neither did I. -I had chicken risotto buried with chicken bones left over from soups, I got one tablespoon of meat from five bone marrow. -I don't eat much, so no worries, the rice tasted good. --as one of the staff members said, they taste very confusing. -I choose a familiar answer on the island, we have three chefs and the head chef is now free, on the island of food quality when choosing a standard answer. -the dining space was a glass fireplace somehow like a terrarium solution, understandable in windy times but against the minds. A good place for those who need privacy for some reason, rainbow hugging or like my neighbor's green medicine very suitable for burning. Heh I bought a bottle of liquor from a beach merchant and I got alcohol poisoning, the product was Indian whiskey, completely for my own reason, by taxi to the liquor store so know what you are getting. A disposable item, hardly anyone will come again unless there is some good reason of their own. Rarely am I so harsh / disappointed / hard, now I am.

Golden Clove Beach Resort was recently taken over by F-Zeen Boutique Hotel Zanzibar, and the space seems to be getting a makeover with still a traditional rustic look :) It was just what we wanted for a weekend getaway - a quiet, peaceful, clean space, and simply perfect to relax by the seaside with just a few steps from the room's entryway to the beach! All the staff and management personnel are super polite, respectful and friendly, and provided excellent customer service making our stay all the more comfortable!

Really Nice place I spent there time with my gests they was very happy because the staff was very good the hotel area was perfect the rooms was perfect. The menager Zulfa do everything my gests and me feel there comfortably🌹😘 I can recommend this hotel.

I've been dreaming of going to Zanzibar for years. We made the mistake of choosing to trust lastminute for this country that we did not know. Their photos and reputation convinced us to book this trip. How disillusioned we were! The journey was nightmarish from start to finish. We couldn't wait to get home!! It all started with a long-haul flydubai flight where all entertainment had to be paid for (movies, games, etc.); then a nightmarish first night in a hotel where we experienced a break-in while we were sleeping (cell phone, money, identity card, etc.). When we discovered it when we woke up, we found no one in the hotel to help us including at the reception. We had to go find the guards at the hotel entrance who woke up the staff. The rest of the trip was just a series of problems: The hotel: * ghost hotel, no other tourists for 10 days * dilapidated room, no TV, no fridge as mentioned in the description. * Running water was not always available in the bathroom and the water gave off a foul odor. * We were forced to pay tourist taxes in cash on arrival without a receipt. They wanted us to repay the taxes and the price of the stay (already paid on lastminte) when checking out. The advantages of the hotel: * Half board: We ate the same meal every evening. We were charged for the water for the meal even though the tap water is not drinkable *The hotel staff advised us not to leave the hotel alone but refused to order us a taxi. *The “referral taxi” scammed us on a tour and threatened to call the police when we refused to pay in full for the attraction we didn't get. * The neighborhood was not secure. The hotels next door were abandoned and children were “zoning out” on the beach. Finally, we learned from an employee that the hotel was unsanitary 2 months before (i.e. when we booked) and that there was no fridge in the hotel kitchens one week Before. Thank you last minute for this “great vacation”.

Not worth it Excellent Beach and Massage, but Nothing else large pool I have never written a negative review … but this place was a disappointment. The Bungalows are old and so are the linens There was no fridge in our room, and light in the bathroom was broken and the safe was not working either …. When reported this, we were moved to another cabin … but no check done before we were given our cabin The worst part was the food – It took Forever for us to be served and nothing worth waiting for …. They ask u in the afternoon what u want to eat for dinner …. We arrive in the dining room by 7.30 pm but first course of soup does not arrive until after 8 pm ….. and then for the main course … wait in anticipation until 9 pm … Lamb that is tough and cannot be chewed !!! It looked as if the kitchen prepared one course for everyone, then we had to wait till the kitchen started preparing the next course. I felt sorry for those families with children …. Who went to sleep …. Waiting for their meals to arrive and families that went to sleep hungry because they could not eat the food that was served to them

Run away, a deep disappointment. Overall facilities very old, bungalows for 2 super old fashioned, bad smell in the bathroom due to lack of window. Booked with half boarded, meaning only breakfast and diner, another bad experience with the quality of food and diversity of meals. When the number of client is below 30, it is a menu “à la carte” for thE breakfast, always “à la carte in the evening” Super nice beach but no other place where to eat, expect the hotel which is on the top left side, 15mn walk. Sun bed on the beach with very old mattress. A bar, a billard, a pool that would need to be refreshed, a wifi very bad!!. Only the staff is good in this super old fashioned hotel, yes, Massoudi, Jacqueline, Tobias, and Ana. Big thanks to them who do their best in such bad conditions. Be aware that I had to fight to pay with my Visa.. a shame.

Je veux partager un avis sur cette hôtel à ce moment je me trouve toujours dans cette hôtel à taille humaine c'est pas le lux de chez lux se qui fait sont lux c'est le personnel hyper hyper sympa le cadre hydraulique le calme la tranquillité ainsi la vue sur l'océan Indien trop top sans oublier la sécurité un hôtel original moi ma femme et notre p'tit fille de 8ans ont se régale no stress que du bonheur toute est original le vrai décor africaine un vrai dépaysement sa change de la France après chacun sont opinion les goûts sa ne descute pas moi je kif cette hôtel familial bonne ambiance au moment où j'écris cette avis je suis assi sur la terrasse face à l'océan entouré de cocotiers sable blanc de chez blanc sans oublier la brise maritime avec un bon cocktail a siroter je le conseille à tous les amateurs de la tranquillité et a ceux qui cherchent la paix et qui veulent ce ressource et faire de longues balades à pied au bord de l'océan
