Hotels in Thamel, Kathmandu

I rarely write reviews, but I highly recommend this hotel in Kathmandu. It's located on Thamel's main street, making it convenient to Chinese restaurants, bars, and shopping. This Chinese hotel is truly stylish, with rooms decorated to the standards of domestic chain hotels, including electric curtains and smart toilets. The owner is also very nice and helpful, and the local staff provide excellent service, giving you the impression that they've received systematic training.

The hotel services were exceptional, and the staff was incredibly helpful. The ambience in the lane was the best, creating a truly inviting atmosphere. The hospitality was unmatched. A special shout-out to Mr. Dinanath Ji, who went above and beyond to assist us with numerous things. The care and attention we received from him made us feel like part of the family. Kudos to him for making our stay unforgettable! I would strongly recommend to stay at this property as this is best one.

All the hotel staffs here are very nice and careful everyday! They gave me a chance to have Nepalese traditional liquor and served packed breakfast even my departure time is just before the time to start breakfast hour. Thank you for everything to support my stay.

The best about this hotel was the location, it's very close to all the tourist attractions in the old city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the facilities were a bit aged and could do with a facelift. Perhaps the most disappointing part was the food. We had booked the room including breakfast, which was a disappointment to say the least. Besides, this, the dining area was very loud, and the service is very slow. Having said that, the view from the roof terrace is fantastic.

Our stay here was nothing short of amazing, will miss waking up with incense perfuming the air, having breakfast in the courtyard with the calming music playing in the background and the night guard who would greet us every evening with a big smile. The hotel is located off the main roads, which make it quite quiet at night. It borders the Thamel district which will cater to all your needs, good food and central to all the major points of interests. The host Rahul will also provide you with his list of things to see and places to eat. The beds are comfy and pillows firm enough for side sleepers. We had the privilege of having our room upgraded, and from what i could see most of the rooms are quite spacious. The toilets and shower are also modern with good water pressure, which was great after exploring dusty Kathmandu. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! An oasis of calm and peace amidst the chaos of Kathmandu.

The hotel is located in Thamel area and is very convenient. The room is clean, well-maintained, and satisfactory. There is only one thing that needs to be improved. When I flushed the water in the sink, it smelled like sewage. It may only be room 306, but please check. This is a very small point, I was satisfied with the hotel.

The hotel service was almost impeccably superb. I arrived and was departed by the same polite receptionist, Manoj. The bed was cozy,the toilet was nice (equipped with a range of toiletries) and the interior room was just wonderful. Breakfast was decent and simple. The staff were always ready to serve you. The welcoming atmosphere was somewhat delightful.🫠 The manager even helped us with our planning of Kathmandu- Pokhara and provides all the necessary details that we need to know over there. Saves us a lot of time. 👍🏼 The location was just right. Easily walking access to nearby food place and market for essential buyings. Just that the tv programs were all news channels,that was a slight bummer but most of the time we were out so it doesn't really matter. And our room view was limited maybe because we were on the lower floor but the home style feels overcame the restriction. There is a saying: ”Perfect goodbyes leave nothing unsaid, thereby there's nothing left to come back for.” Overall, even with just 18 rooms in this hotel, I didn't regret making it my destination to rest at Kathmandu. It was truly a lovely place and I hope it prospers widely in the future. Lastly, for all the staff in Kumari Boutique Hotel who appreciate our existence that one week stay,thank you a lot! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

Pretty, good location, great breakfast, friendly staff, batroom has moist in some rooms. Qute rooftop! Elevator that is quite rare!

Pros: The service of reception and restaurant were nice. The location is so great. Cons: There was smoky smell inside the room. I wasn’t used to the food that had similar look but different taste that I used to. The only that I really couldn’t stand with was those who welcomed me “with my name” and “helped” with my luggage at the airport required 20USD for tips. I realized at last that there is no need to tip in Nepal. And it seemed that the hotel knew the condition and let it be. Please be noticed not to tip them at such a price and separate the money.

Hotel is very good is all facilities room, breakfast and staff location is good near by main market in kathmandu
