The Sparkling Turtle Backpackers Hostel

Realy nice place to stay. Everything is new and clean. Beds are good. Owner and familie are lovely. Close to the Monkey tempel, 30-40 min walk from Thamel, but a nice walk true KTM. And if you have your own vehicle like us, you have a save parking.

Good accommodation and nice hospitality. Ajeet has been very helpful throughout our stay. Dorms are maintained well. Food options are less and can be improved. Good to have some coffee in the morning. Pls include geyser with existing solar Thanks and we will visit again

I usually don't write reviews on this site but I created my account to tell about my amazing experience in the Sparkling Turtle ▫️ highly professional and welcoming team who make you feel home Mr Ajeet, the hostel owner, is one of the warmest and deepest people I have ever met. He's so caring, he even picked me up from the bus stand at night, and he's very attentive and wise ▫️Everything is made with love in this brand new building Every detail in the hostel has been carefully taken into consideration to create the perfect atmosphere for guests,  from the stylish design and decorations with a deep meaning to the super comfortable beds, mats and slippers ▫️ Location and breathtaking views It's located  in walking distance to the main road, Swayambhu bus stand, shops and restaurants, famous attractions like the Buddha park, Swayambhu and Monkey temple, The Single Tree, Tergar monastery etc, and at the same time it's a quiet place, on a hillside, so you can enjoy the stunning city views and good sleep ▫️ delicious and beautiful food Every meal and even just a cup of tea or coffee is made and served with love and a bright smile by Sandesh, the owner's cheerful assistant, who's always in the hostel and who can quickly solve any problem ▫️ Safety for female solo travellers I was feeling very safe and relaxed there. Didn't even want to leave the place Thank you guys so much I'll definitely stay in the Sparkling Turtle again and will recommend it to other travellers!

Perfect place, wonderful host, the rooms are very nice and tidy, everything is clean and the breakfast is very good ! Ajeet was extremely helpful for all information on the treks around Nepal and kept in touch during all my stay here, strongly strongly recommend !

I had a single room here for 10 days, as a base for events at Tergar Osel Ling. Azeetkc and his service-oriented team have made my stay hassle-free and pleasant. In particular, I’d recommend the services of Hem, the driver. Well done, Sparkling Turtle team!

I was very impressed that sparkling turtle backpackers has built brand new building. This year is second time since I stayed in an old sparkling turtle in 2018. I remember they are very friendly and considerate. And this time I visited again and was surprised the hostel is so much nicer and comfortable. I came to do meditation course near here. The location of hotel is safe and easily get around. I liked it’s also quiet at night so I could sleep deeply!! The condition of the hostel is so clean and convenient. Also I have so much gratitude for the manager Azit who helped me a lot to get the luggage back which was delayed from the airplane. As a foreigner here, it was challenging situation, he kindly communicated with airport people and gave me support putting his effort and time. So I could get the luggage back safely. Also, Sandesh is so kind and cheerful gave me good energy while staying. He is so willingly help whatever needed in staying here. I really appreciate that! Having his nice breakfast was good routine and felt grounded to study my course while staying!! I’d like to stay again next time!
