I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Manaslu while in Kathmandu. The rooms were clean and nice. The pool and outside area were beautiful and relaxing. The air conditioning was reliable in the rooms on the days it was very hot outside. I had a tiny mishap with the room I received, where there were ants crawling around the floor of the bathroom, however I immediately told the front desk and they gave me a new room. It was a bit of a walk into Thamel and other areas of the city, but the parts surrounding the hotel were exciting as well. All in all, pretty good stay. The positives outweighed the negatives of my experience.

Das Hotel ist kein liebloser „Klotz“, sondern ein stilvolles 2-stöckiges Gebäude-Ensemble. Es liegt einige hundert Meter entfernt von der Hauptstraße, hat einen sehr ruhigen, überdachten Innenhof und einen schönen Garten mit Swimmingpool. Aufgrund der Lage ist es sehr ruhig. Wir hatten ein Dreibettzimmer und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmer auf der anderen Seite, zum Garten, oder die im Nebengebäude, sind bestimmt noch schöner und teilweise mit Balkon versehen. Wir fanden unser Zimmer dennoch sehr ok. Besonders zu betonen ist noch das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet und der Service im gesamten Hotel. Alle sind sehr freundlich und bemüht. Zur Lage: Der Fußweg nach Thamel ist ca. 15 Minuten an einer sehr stressigen Straße entlang. Mit der InDrive-App kann man alternativ für 350-500 Rupien, 2-3 Euro, mit dem Taxi nach Thamel kommen. Wir können das Hotel Manaslu wärmstens empfehlen. Wir würden beim nächsten Mal kein anderes Hotel probieren wollen.

L'hôtel et propre, la chambre est spacieuse. L'architecture est très belle, traditionnelle et bien entretenue. Le personnel est aux petits soins, attentif et souriant. Le petit déjeuner est au top, on trouve des plats traditionnels jusqu'aux plats occidentaux. Et il est en plus très bien situé, le quartier est calme, le quartier de Tamel est proche (15 min à pied) . Je recommande vraiment cet endroit sans hésitation!

Centrally located, it's steps from shopping and transport. Special thanks to Rabindra Bohara & Shreyam for their invaluable local tips and taxi guidance. A wonderful base if you are in Kathmandu. Clean and spacious rooms and a great breakfast. We stayed here 3 times in between a trek and a trip to Bardia and luggage was stored with ease and laundry done for our return. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Great quiet location in Lazimpat with plenty of good food options close by. Only 15 mins to Thamel. Would stay here again.

The price and the facility did not match. Room needed more cleaning. The fridge had mold. Will not use this hotel in the future.

Amazing architecture and intricately carved ceilings and window frames, with good food and great beds. Only thing missing was a hot shower. The pool and conference facilities were first rate, and the staff were lovely. I’m looking forward to staying here again.

Do not expect a luxury experience by European standards. Very nice building from the outside and good location, but the rooms are very dark and old and im desperate need of renovation. We also had the experience of a rat running around above us while having dinner.
