Dog Dept Garden Hotel Karuizawa

I stayed here for several nights with my small dog (puppy). 1. About the room The exterior has an American taste, but the interior is calm and spacious, so we were able to spend a relaxing hotel life. The stairs are as steep as a small factory that doubles as a home, and you need to be careful to lock the door (it won't open until you get the hang of it, so in a sense it's high security), but I was very satisfied. 2. About the food Both breakfast and dinner are served in a course. There is a wide variety of authentic dishes, so it was fun and delicious. Each type of food is served on one plate for the number of people, so it is difficult to separate, but it is acceptable considering that the staff, who are kind and polite, will have to wash less dishes. The salt-grilled sweetfish that I ate in the American-style interior was delicious. 3. About the location It is conveniently located 5-6 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, and is convenient for shopping in Old Karuizawa and the outlet. There are also free bicycle rentals (there are only three electric bikes so it's first come, first served. However, most people come by car and there is a Family Mart within walking distance so I didn't see anyone else renting) so you can fully enjoy the dog-friendly Karuizawa. There is also a DogDept shop on the premises so they can accommodate if you are a little unprepared (dogs, go to Family Mart). We had a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. Thank you.
