It was okay. The hotel is already a bit old and one can see that. The breakfast was okay-ish. Better book without breakfast and have it in the city. The location and flair is the best part of the hotel. Their wifi is quite weak.

L’hôtel est très bien situé au calme et on arrive au centre ville à pied três facilement après une courte promenade le long de la rivière. Les chambres sont propres, le petit déjeuner copieux et le personnel est serviable. La connection internet est mauvaise dans la chambre 210 mais bonne au lobby. Il n’y a pas de service de restauration ni d’alcool mais vous pouvez commander à l’extérieur ou ramener. Des brochures sur les sites aux alentours seraient les bienvenues.

Doğu Anadolu turumuzun açık ara en iyi oteli. Hatta konakladığım en güzel otellerden biri diyebilirim. Kars çayı kenarında ağaçların arasına gizlenmiş bir masal diyarı adeta. Rus işgali sırasında dönemin çarı tarafından Hollandalı mühendislere yaptırılmış. Kars şehrinin mimari dokusunu yansıtan binası, her detayına özenilmiş dekorasyonu, özgün mobilyaları ile geçen yüzyılın Kars'ını yaşattı bize. Mayıs sonu olmasına rağmen akşam hava çok soğuktu. Odanın sıcaklığı ise son derece idealdi. Mis gibi Kars havasına uyandığımızda tüm yorgunluğumuz gitmişti. Yöresel ürünleri tadabileceğiniz nefis bir kahvaltı ve güler yüzlü personeli ile tüm beklentilerimizi karşıladı. 5-10 dakikalık bir yürüyüş ile her yere ulaşabiliyor olmak da avantaj. Bu otelin işletmecisi ve çalışanlarını gönülden tebrik ediyorum.

22/24 mayıs 2025 tarihinde Kars da bu otelde konakladık. Çalışan gençler inanılmaz pozitif. Hepsi canla başla güleryüzle işlerini yapıyor. Odalar güzel, temiz. Kahvaltı özenli ve güzeldi. Çok memnun kaldık. Evinizde gibi rahat hissediyorsunuz.

Kars Castle needs attention and support. It looks abandoned. It urgently needs maintenance and renovation to preserve the historical castle. The hotel is small, beautiful and quite historical. The location is great. The area needs attention and support. Even though it is winter, there is a sewage smell coming from the river.

Arrived and left in the rain. Given a superior river-view room. Spacious room, comfortable bed, big radiator and lots of windows which open well. En suite rather on the small side. They seemed to cope well at breakfast despite us coinciding with a small coach party. Limited choice of hot items (chips, boiled eggs, menemen and I think pieces of beef or chicken sausage), but the menemen was the one which I have enjoyed most on this trip. Nice Turkish bread brought to the table and a wide choice of cold items including a very nice moist coconut sponge. In the absence of rain and darkness, there seems to be a pleasant quite short walk into town. Would stay again if in the area.

Otel, nehir kenarında. Akşamları bahçesinde ateş yakıp canlı müzik yapıyorlar. Çok keyifli, biz çok memnun kaldık. Butik otel olduğu için restoranı yok; kahvaltı dışında yalnızca içecek servisi yapılıyor ama her yer çok yakın.
