The staff behaviour was not good. He was even denying the basic services like towel and tea bags.

Stayed here for a week with a group of students on expedition and loved it. Large, clean rooms with lots of hot water. Food was excellent and plentiful and the staff very friendly. Views from the balcony were beautiful and regularly included Monkeys and birds of prey. Lovely spot

My 14 year old son and i arrived early in the morning from delhi. Our checkin time was only at 1 pm. I called mr surinderji, who promptly asked us to come up and very warmly made arrangements for us to get a beautiful room. The room was wonderful with a large window overlooking a balcony to sit in, watch the mountains, drink tea, meditate, do yoga, and read. The food was excellent as well. Overall the staff are very polite and welcoming yet unintrusive. All in all, a most delightful experience. I would love to come back and stay here each time i'm in mcleodganj.

Food was good, service was good, location was too pretty and comfortable. In short it was a good experience.

The location is excellent with fantastic views over the valley and the snow covered mountains viewed from the balcony. I have stayed here several times and would not want to stay anywhere else. The rooms are clean and spacious and facilities are great. The staff are very helpful, look after their guests very well and the food is brilliant.

Stayed at Kailwood for 7 days. Loved the location of the Guest house as its a stone's throw away from the center of McLeod Ganj, providing complete access to whatever a tourist needs - taxi's, restaurants, shops, pharmacy, temples. The rooms are spacious with all amenities. Loved the large windows, providing lots of light to come into the room. Comfortable, with small kitchenette and attached wash room. The balcony area is lovely. Wonderful place to just sit and relax and chat with other fellow guests. Or have your breakfast. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Perfect place to go, if you want a relaxed time. The staff are so friendly and helping and actually caring. The cooks are just too good. Still cant get over the Chicken Curry that I had ordered for dinner. Must try. When you stay there, make sure you ask for the cook Akshay to make you that chicken curry. Definitely will stay at this place again, when I next visit. Highly receommend
