The location is okay, rooms are good, food is also okay, rooms are good but it feels like you are staying in a hostel.. too many rules and regulations for grownups.. that’s not acceptable. So if you want to live like students you can stay here otherwise please avoid this property..

We took six people on a spiritual travel retreat through Himachal Pradesh and this one of the group's favorite places. It is a sweet spot just far enough away from the boisterous Bir streets to allow a more relaxed, quiet stay in the area. The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful, and the food was delicious. The onsite farm-to-table restaurant, housed in a charming old mud house, was nice and provided a unique experience, but the cushion-on-floor or wicker low-stool seating is uncomfortable for older people with mobility issues. We chose to have breakfast outside in the lovely garden space instead, which was a fantastic way to enjoy the mountain views and watch the many paragliders come in for landing. Shout out to Pritam and the other wait staff for making our final meal there extra memorable! The rooms were nice but could use some updating and/or touching up, especially in the upstairs spaces where cracks were plentiful. All the rooms had balconies with gorgeous views. They offer onsite yoga in a bright spacious yoga hall, and have an additional tranquil multi-purpose room off the reception area that was a perfect place to do an evening meditation. Upon leaving, the staff -- including three tiny older women who were impressively strong -- hustled to help with our bags and then eagerly gathered with our group for farewell photos. While we will likely return in the future with another group, the only thing that would tempt me to choose another location is the parent company (Alaya) has an annoying system-generated email process. I received 21 confirmation emails when I made the reservation and after leaving I received another 28 requests for reviews to share about our stay. (Four for every person in our group plus four for our driver.) So, since they asked me so many times to share publicly about our stay, I feel obliged to be honest and say that the email confirmation system for group reservations is annoying. :)

The resort offered a pleasant stay with comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, and good amenities. Some areas could use a bit of improvement, but overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

It was a perfect stay. The restaurant is amazing. Staff is extremely professional. Rooms are kept very clean

The place is so serene, so calm, so untouched that one could fall in love with it. It is being run like a home away from home. The staff feels like family and the hospitality is amazing. Food is outstanding. It is a cozy property with 6 units only, so book in time. Really loved the rustic mud-house dining area. It is also a photographer’s paradise. Be prepared for a bit of walking but that’s worth it.
