we check in late due to our early trip to the death railway.
easy check in system, you just need to see the owner and can directly check in to the room. room is huge, bathroom is clean. has refrigerator too.
locationwise, walkable to the night market and to the Kanchanaburi train station. from Kanchanaburi train station you have to cross the road and walk a little bit deeper to the shops area and small alley.
however to go to the bus station, you might need to take grab because its about 2-3km distance.

Quietly situated, close to entertainment street. Friendly owners and nice garden. Cute cat and beautiful fish in the garden. Various trips can be booked at the Guesthouse, including to beautiful waterfalls. Breakfast can also be ordered.
Tip: Good vegetarian/vegan restaurant a 5-minute walk away.

Lovely little Guesthouse, close to the honorary cemetery.
Between the bus station and the River Kwai bridge.
Owner was helpful with booking tours, but due to the heavy rainfall the trip to erawan could not go on (park was closed)
Furthermore, no Tours booked with Guesthouse.

A charming guesthouse not farm from the main train station in Kanchanaburi, and close to amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets and a tour agency. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and it was quiet and clean. We liked being a couple of kilometers away from the main tourist area (by the bridge over the river Kwai). We would happily return here.

The Siam Guesthouse in Kanchanaburi is excellent, especially for families! We had booked two connecting rooms for us (2 adults, 2 children aged 6 and 4). The rooms are functional (positive) and very clean. Above all, the location is great: on the one hand because it is very quiet and green, on the other hand because it is very centrally located. So you can walk to the great restaurant Zab Zab or to the night market. The best thing is the operator family: everyone is very welcoming, takes good care of them, speaks good English, helps with questions/requests and is always very friendly. Thanks very much! This accommodation is really highly recommended, especially for families!

I’m honestly surprised with these reviews. It’s quaint and has some Thai charm but that’s it. Perhaps it’s because it’s so quiet ? I had barely a welcome. I asked about booking a tour or driver and was met with confusion. Annoying because I had messaged them before my arrival about whether to book in advance or with them. I was shown to my room then reception closed up, which was after I realised I had no wifi information. I’m sure I was the only guest and put in the worst room at the back near the toilets, pans & cleaning stuff. It was dark and depressing and full of mosquitoes. It was hot, the fridge & air-con were off. There was no security as the windows didn’t lock but you couldn’t have them open either for light because of the mosquitoes. I persevered for an hour but still no one surfaced to discuss these issues, so I cut my losses and moved on.
