Amazing
HHah MarvinThe positive reviews are real! We're very glad to have stayed here and would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
First off, the buffett breakfast is amazing: it offers local Kanazawan fare to standard Japanese favourites like tempura, sushi and sashimi to ubiquitous American breakfast offerings like sausages, bacon and a wide choice of eggs. Fancy sparkling wine for breakfast? They're available as well!
Secondly, great location. 3 mins walk to Omichi market, 10 mins to Kanazawa castle, 10 mins to Higashi Chaya, 20 mins to Nagamachi District. Honestly, Kanazawa is such a walkable town, you are always able to walk from one attraction to the next. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus from mid-morning to late afternoon that runs to Kanazawa station and back.
Rooms are well-appointed, large by Japanese standards and there's even a bathtub. Two thumbs up!
Ffyi guyClean and thoughtful set up. Well equipped kitchenette. With brand new dish sponge and kitchen towel ( items often overlooked at other service apartment hotels).
Spacious lounge area that had free flow beverages in the evening during our stay. Competent breakfast but lack variety as there was no change in menu during our 3 days stay.
You can access the restaurants in the same building via the escalator in the shared outdoor area next to the restaurant. Location is superb as it’s a short mostly sheltered walk to Kanazawa station
TTroy HarkinAfter doing a bit of research for this part of my family's trip to Japan over Christmas, Kanazawa was high on our list (now Top 25 places to go this year according to National Geographic!). So glad we stayed there.
Look no further than a walk outside of Kanazawa Station (buses and trains easily accessible) and go to Hyatt Centric. Amazing location in terms of accessibility (the city itself is quite walkable or you can do the loop buses from there).
The amenities and room were top notch. Staff were amazing everywhere, their take on breakfast was also done well with a mix of local Kanazawan cuisine, Japanese dishes, and Western dishes.
Rooftop Bar was also nice.
Rooms were also very affordable compared to other cities in Japan for what some might consider a higher quality.
Already planning our next family trip and plan to go here again.
KKel C.Very neat and clean place. The host Bungo was patient and detailed, provided recommendations to sightseeing spots and even helped me to reserve a visit that needed pre booking. I like his thoughtful touch of bookmarking the restaurants on the map and sharing them with guests.
The location was roughly 15min by foot to the station but it could also depend on the weather. Western showers available all hours and a private Japanese bath in the evening and nighttime slot. Close to the Omicho market and the castle park.
I tend to be someone that leaves behind something every place I go and they helped me to stop that. Thank you Bungo and the family!
AAnonymous UserThis trip to central Japan lasted nearly a month, and I stayed in five hotels! My favorite was actually Kanazawa Tokyu, which I stayed in for the first time. First of all, the location is very convenient. It is easy to walk to the high-speed rail station and the surrounding major scenic spots. Even if you take a car to Kanazawa Library, it only takes 20 minutes. In addition, there is a circular bus for tourists at the entrance of the hotel. As long as you get on the bus and don’t want to get off, you can go around a few times (only this route can be swiped with ICOCA cards). When we first arrived here, we also relied on this bus to understand the entire Kanazawa’s location, which was convenient for later walking tours. Speaking of the hotel, I liked it at first sight, and the more I saw it, the more I loved it❤️... Every detail made me happy! The hotel is very new and clean. At night, you can go to the dining area in the lobby to enjoy a quiet time alone. My family said that the coffee is also better than other hotels. The last time I went to Kanazawa, I followed a tour group and had no chance to understand Kanazawa at all. This time I deeply experienced the beauty of Kanazawa. Compared with Kyoto, which I am familiar with and popular, I love the small and beautiful Kanazawa more. It is quiet and profound! Kanazawa in October is full of sweet osmanthus fragrance, just like Hangzhou. The hotel price is also affordable. Next time I plan to fly to Nagoya to visit Kanazawa and Takayama. I will stay longer to enjoy the scenery. It is very convenient to eat and go shopping near the hotel. I can't find any shortcomings of this hotel. It can be said to be perfect! Of course, you must not raise the price because of my good comments. If the price increases, I will not be able to stay for a long time, haha.
KKJTRThe room for two persons is large and clean. There’s a working zone including a desk and a chair. It’s comfortable to sit and write.
There are two small armchairs for you to sit, sip coffee and relax.
It’s a cozy room, worth to stay.
HHon YuenOnly hotel in Japan that offers us free flow alcoholic drinks for 6 hrs daily. Located conveniently where we did not need to drive to get to places. Only minus point is it did not have a coin operated laundry service and the nearest one is 5 to 8 mins walk away
GGraceeeeyyThe hotel was kind of in the middle of the city (kind of far away from the station but close to some of the attractions/points of interest). The restaurants etc near the place close pretty early so you might want to get some dinner to go from the station or walk all the way to the station. It was a good deal though, they have a public bath and a gym, pretty nice facilities and rooms too. Would def stay here again ✨
Kkan-chanI stayed here for several nights. It was a bit of a walk from the Katamachi bus stop, but it wasn't too bad. The room was quite spacious for the price, but there was only a shower and no bathtub, which was unavoidable, but I was satisfied. The large public bath was also on the second floor. I didn't use it this time, but they listened to my request, so I would like to use this hotel again.
GGuest UserAll tourist places are nearby. They gave pajamas and 3 towels. On the second night - a second set! Friendly staff. Of the minuses - everyone is told from 10 to 14 to vacate the building for cleaning. If someone did not get enough sleep earlier (arrived, arrived late at night) - he is out of luck, you will not get enough sleep here in the morning. And there is practically no kitchen - only a microwave oven and hot / cold drinking water. Only the staff has access to the refrigerator (you can ask to put something in it), it is inconvenient to ask every time. There is no water in the ”kitchen” to wash (fruit, for example). There are no plates, cups, forks, spoons (choppers), which is also not always convenient. I will exchange pajamas for tea bags, as is customary in ordinary hostels:)))
