Great place, wish I would of been able to stay there a few more days. Right close to the walkway. Easy getting to and from downtown. The women there are very helpful. Just explained were I was trying to go and they helped me with the buses.

Very convenient location. Walk about 10' from the east exit of the Kanazawa station. Easy to find. The stairs are steep and the owner helped me to carry my luggage to the 1/F, where my bed was. When I was back at night, he showed me around and gave me the necessary details in person. Even asked me to take my shower earlier because the hostel that night was fully booked by marathon runners who were joining the race today (Oct 29). He helped me to clear my problems about the special traffic arrangements on the marathon day as well. What a helpful and friendly host! The hostel is clean as well. Towels will be charged if needed.

A small bottle of hot water is placed in the room every day. If it is not enough, you have to go downstairs to pick it up. The stairs are narrow. There is no bathroom in the room, which is not convenient at night. But the small bath is good. And the price is more expensive than the star hotel in the city, that is, experience once, will not choose again next time. In addition, the service desk called at ten o'clock to urge check-out, I think it was very rude. In short, this ryokan didn't leave me with a warm feeling.
