As always in Japan, it is clean. Surprisingly, there is a lot of space, but the audibility is very good, I could even hear people breathing a couple of rooms away from me. And the blinds are very loud when they go down. There is no roof, so you can see a little light from the lamp in the hallway. I took a photo at night.

Because the room I stayed in was very noisy due to someone snoring, they immediately helped me move to a shared room after reporting it to the front desk.

This is the worst hotel where they don't even reply when you contact them (;;)
I've stayed there before, and men can use the women's shower room (there was no one there when I checked out, and there was a shower card return box on the counter), and the soundproofing is terrible, so I got yelled at for being too noisy just for walking around.

The hostel felt secure, the bed was comfy and the room with the beds in was a nice cool temperature. Each pod has a small safe and space underneath the bed for a suitcase/backpack. The bathrooms were always clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that there is no ceiling to the pod so the room lighting & fire escape signs illuminate the pod. Bring an eye mask!
