The Flagstone Boutique Inn & Suites

Wonderful place! clean and had everything we needed. We stayed here for a week and Kanab is a great little town. Room had a kitchen and all the necessary cooking utensils. Towels were provided and water was hot. Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Zion and Bryce National Park.

Renovated old motel. No on-site staff. Room was adequate size. Shower was hot and towels were nice. Bed was okay but could have been better. As a plus there was a multifunction toaster oven in addition to a microwave as well as a hot plate and pots and pans. It was awkward that the motel asked the residents to clean their own dishes as there really wasn’t a sink to do that, and I’d be hesitant to think that the prior guest cleaned the dishes adequately. Also, despite the cooking implements, there was no place to eat in the room other than an adjustable standing desk. Also could hear the adjoining room when they ran water in the shower. For the price, it was a good value and served its purpose for a one night stay.

Had to scrub the tile on my hands and knees for 45 minutes because it was so dirty when we arrived. Texted the owner asking for the $25 cleaning fee refunded. Nope. Can’t believe how greedy people have become.

We stayed here during the 2023 Kanab Balloons and Tunes festival. Overall the room was nice and suited our needs during our stay. Pros: 1) Allows dogs and the nightly pet fee was only $10 per night 2) the bed was really comfortable 3) small kitchenette is nice to have - decently equipped with a microwave, single serve k-cup coffee, wine glasses, basic kitchen items an a few small appliances 4) overall quiet considering it is located on US 89 as it comes into town 5) Cons: 1) parking lot in the front and the back of the property is red dirt/clay. During our stay it had snowed a couple of days prior to our arrival and everything was muddy. 2) Hotel signage is initially difficult to see as coming into town.There is a pizzeria on the premises and their signage is bright, large and center placed so you think the pizzeria is the primary business and not the hotel. Also there is not any signage of the main hotel office. 4) Check-in is complete contactless. I had to call the number listed and was assumed an email was with check in instructions was sent however I never received an email. While I understand the post-Covid impact, I miss the face to face aspect of hotels. 5) while the property does allow pets there is no place on the property for dogs to relieve themselves I had to consistently walk my dog to a park about a block away. 6) Room instructions stated that if we use the dishes provided in the kitchenette, we also needed to wash them prior to check out or be charged $25 cleaning fee. I would expect this type of language with an Air BNB not a hotel
