I have nothing to say other than it's terrible. If you're thinking of booking a room, think twice! As soon as I checked in, I felt discriminated against. The receptionist was an old man. I don't know what I did to offend him, but his attitude was very bad, very serious and stern, like the old Japanese old men. The hotel changed its name, and it felt like they were trying to whitewash it, but many places still use the old names (such as the questionnaire). The room I stayed in was very old and had no air conditioning. I thought I had traveled through time and space to the Taisho era (they gave me a key, which was very retro). I don't know if it's a unique culture of old Japan, but when I got to the room, the door was open. As soon as I walked in, the stench of salted fish and dried feet hit my nose. The bathroom The shower curtain smelled like stray dogs. The bed was incredibly small and old. It felt like the springs were sagging, just like the receptionist. The support was so weak it was completely uneven, making sleeping extremely painful. The bathroom didn't even have toiletries (not the friendly, three-pack of traditional, oversized bottles). You had to ask at the front desk for them. The value for money was incredibly poor (over ¥30,000 per night, and an additional ¥300 for the hot spring bath upon check-out was odd; why wasn't that included? We didn't use it at all). It was a complete waste of money, and it doesn't deserve a single star. I suggest booking websites stop offering hotels that discriminate against non-local tourists. It's unfortunate for anyone who stays there.

The room and bath were comfortable, but some foreign tourists were making noise and talking loudly in the bath, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious, but there was so much to choose from that it was a shame I couldn't finish it all. Arriving at the entrance by car, we were greeted by staff before we even parked. They helped with our luggage and directed us to parking. The buffet dinner was exquisite, featuring sukiyaki (one hot pot per person), crab meat and fish roe steamed buns with rice, and more. The fruit was a very sweet honeydew melon. The breakfast buffet was equally rich. The hot springs are clean and well-maintained, offering both hot spring and heated water, as well as an open-air bath. It's right next to Shirahige Falls. However, Google doesn't show the hotel's new name, so you'll need to search by address.
