It's really a hard-to-describe experience. No wonder not many Chinese people stay here. The hotel belongs to a local chain hotel. Although it is rated 5 stars on Ctrip, the hotel walls are covered with tripadvisor sgs and other certifications, and it is a legacy designed by Bawa, but it is really disappointing after checking in. It happened to be a small peak when checking in. Several tour groups checked in at the same time, and the front desk seemed a bit busy. Fortunately, the passports and luggage were not messed up, and the room card was safely obtained. The hotel is a bit large, and the building where the front desk is located is really 5🌟. Bawa's skills were definitely epoch-making works 50 years ago. But as soon as you leave the main building of the hotel, it's like going to another hotel, and the sense of age hits you. Especially the lawn in the middle looks like a prison yard. The lawn is undecorated and bumpy. There are a few wild dogs wandering around. After entering the room, it's just okay, but compared with the main building, it's worth 3🌟 at most. But because it is very close to the sea, the ground on the second floor will also be damp for no reason. Although the hotel was renovated in 2019, the facilities in the room are also very illogical. There is only one empty power socket in the whole room, and the rest are plugged in lamps, kettles, TVs and other equipment. The switch of the ceiling light is very interesting. The switch on the left bed controls the light on the right bed. When I checked in, I also took my child to the children's playground, which is the kind of indoor children's playground in domestic shopping malls, but the maintenance inside is really not good. The most terrible thing is that no one cares even when the cover of the electric box is opened. If it were in the United States, it would have been sued for compensation. The food is not expensive, but the taste is not online. But to be honest, the waiters here are more local and down-to-earth, probably because most of the hotel guests are locals. There are less than 10 white and Asian people in the whole hotel who stay for breakfast. It is obviously different from anatara where I stayed before. There may be more European and American customers there, and the employees are used to tiptiptiptip for everything. Bentota is more sincere

Very nice Tuanuja team!! Super kind and even though the hotel was full, they attended me very well. Thank you very much!! Facilities are nice too, quite clean, big summing pool and direct access to the beach. Food was tasty, but I had to ask if it was spicy all the time, since it is not indicated in most of the cases. I would like to have more variety of non spicy food, apart from pasta/noodles and boiled vegetables. But the experience was excellent in general.

The experience was very bad. I booked the hotel early, but when I arrived at the local hotel, I was told that there was no reservation information. A large group of people were waiting at the front desk. It was very bad. The entire communication was back and forth between three parties. What’s even more outrageous is that one of the bookings has no room. I never thought that a platform as big as Ctrip would make this mistake. Beruwala is hot this season and mosquitoes bite in the evening. The final solution is also terrible. I have never dared to do so again. Booked an overseas hotel on Ctrip.

It's a very nice place, beautiful sea, all the services are good, very good food, perfect and clean room, I can promise to have a good time, for me it is a go to Sri Lanka A place to stop in the South. They also have a full bar and a nice pool

The garden view room we booked was upgraded to pool view. This is very bad and very noisy! Did not sleep well for two days! In the morning, the crows are meeting! If you want to live, it is best to book a sea view room! There is also a swimming pool over there. The sea water is very good, but it is also very wavy. Hotel is modern , fresh , well maintained . Perfect for a relaxing vacation with gym , excellent long pool , yoga , sports area . Access to the beach is private and peaceful. Food spread was lavish Nd tasty . Staff is very friendly Nd goes out of the way to help you . We enjoyed the wide spread of food for new years gala dinner . Bar has good choice of liquor. You can take a tuktuk from hotel lobby roam around to see local life . Go to kalatura rich look store or others for cheap but good quality daily wear clothes . Beach is little rough . Spending 5 nights with hotel was relaxing then we moved to bentota to enjoy the beach which is smooth Nd one of the best I have come across travelling world around . Special thank to Tusharri to ensure we had the best stay Nd the personal touch she provided and Mr Prasad Wijesyriya for maintaining the hotel so well . You can always see them around with a smile and ensuring all guests are happy checking on them . Key feature is the long swimming pool . We are staying at Taj bentota now but we found citrus much better with pool , rooms and pricing for quality .

Initial experience wasn’t great at check-in, as the staff wasn’t giving accurate information about dinner prices, and wasn’t very friendly. There were also a few issues in the room. But the front desk was able to coordinate with their internal house keeping and engineering team to solve the problems. We were happy with their services in the end.
