Argo Hotel

Una struttura che andrebbe chiusa all'istante. Abbiamo avuto scarafaggi dal bagno che uscivano ogni sera. Sporco, puzzolente di pipi' di gatto, pulizie delle camere inesistenti, camere vecchissime e bagni sporchi. Non offre nulla. Quando abbiamo fatto presente che le condizioni dell hotel erano penose la risposta e' stata di andare in un 5 stelle la prossima volta. Da vergognarsi.

TERRIBILE, DA EVITARE. unica nota positiva la posizione adiacente a supermarket ristoranti e negozietti per ogni necessità. Pulizia pessima, stanza decadente( lavandino incastrato con della carta nel muro), insetti formiche e BLATTE CHE CADEVANO DALLE DOGHE NEL CONTROSSOFFITTO DEL BAGNO, giardino intorno alla piscina pessimo( ad ogni folata di vento tutto si riversava in piscina), Staff( INGLESE/EST EUROPA , NON ERANO GRECI E SI E' NOTATA LA DIFFERENZA!!!) poco disponibile. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno addebitato l'aria condizionata già PAGATA CON BOOKING( IL QUALE NON STA FORNENDO ANCORA NESSUNA ASSISTENZA A RIGUARDO).

If you are looking for a star hotel, don't go there. On the other hand, if, like us, your hotel is primarily a pied-à-terre, you will be very well received there. This somewhat vintage hotel, a bit from another time, offers you simple but sufficient comfort. Its strong points: First of all its location. A 3-minute walk from the bustling epicenter of Faliraki and its many taverns and restaurants, a 5-minute walk from the beautiful fine sandy beach of this village, and 200 meters from the bus stop of the main line connecting Rhodes to Lindos, its location is ideal. Then his welcome. It is a family hotel, with a simple and no-frills welcome, but very friendly and very helpful. Finally, cleanliness. Even though the building is a few decades old, it is well maintained and very clean, which we really appreciated. Its swimming pool and small garden pleasantly complete everything. To be recommended without hesitation to independent people, preferring a “pied-à-terre” hotel to a “living place” hotel, and appreciating excellent value for money.

I stayed at the Argo Hotel in August 2023. I liked it a lot! Beautiful hotel! Small, quiet, cozy, everything in green. There is a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers on site. There is a bar serving various snacks throughout the day. In the morning, the hotel hears the trill of canaries, which lifts the mood all day long. Good WiFi, beach 7 minutes walk. There is a decent supermarket and a bus stop nearby. The hotel is located on the main street, so when you leave the hotel in the evening, you immediately immerse yourself in the vibrant life of the seaside resort. Very good breakfast. And the home-cooked dinners are delicious and filling, thanks to Daniela, who works in the kitchen. The hotel owners are very friendly and hospitable people, always ready to give advice and help. They converted my room to a more suitable room without any problems. I would like to express my gratitude to the rest of the hotel staff, who made my stay at the hotel pleasant and comfortable. I will definitely try to return to this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to those who want a cheap and good holiday by the sea.

Very welcoming and friendly hosts. The hostess Marina speaks Russian and is always ready to help with advice. The hotel is located in the very center, but there is practically no noise from the main street, especially if the room overlooks the garden or pool. There is a bus stop and a grocery store nearby. The hotel rooms are "tired", but everything works. The room has a refrigerator and kettle. Bed linen and towels are clean and new. Cleaning is good. You can rent a car at a reasonable price at the hotel. Every Tuesday there is a grill evening. For an inexpensive price you get a delicious portion of grilled meat with potatoes and Greek salad, as well as a glass of wine and ice cream. There is a place in the hotel lobby for things that guests leave behind, such as sun umbrellas. You can take them, which is very convenient. Of course, the hotel has a lot to work on, repair, and paint. But if you don’t plan to sit in the hotel all day and are generally unpretentious, then this is the place for you.
