Ano Kampos Hotel

I advise you to think twice before booking! It didn't take long to realize that the room we'd chosen was newly added to the property and had just been given to us after construction was completed. Construction dust was falling everywhere. The next day, we encountered a white lizard in the room, and it ruined our sleep. We couldn't sleep. The next day, we reported the issue to the hotel owner. He even made fun of us, saying it was normal for this region. I said it might be normal for this region, but it wasn't normal in a hotel room. I warned him that there were gaps between the wooden furniture, and if you close them, this creature won't live in the room. The room had been disinfected and cleaned somehow when we arrived. They didn't even offer to change rooms, which wasn't surprising given their attitude. No one except the owner speaks English. The breakfast is very meager and truly unhygienic. The food quality is very poor. I condemn them for serving the worst olives on an island full of olive trees. The eggs are only one type, and they take them out of the cold refrigerator and put them on the buffet. Because they're boiled the day before. There's so much more to say, but I advise you not to stay at this hotel.

The people are super friendly and very helpful. Only the hotel was a bit on the old side. Room small. Shower right next to the toilet. Bathroom super small. Everything was wet when you took a shower. Shower curtain.. I don't think it's that clean to use. And because the bathroom was so small, the shower curtain was against you when you wanted to take a shower. Not pleasant. We only got new towels once during our stay. We didn't have air conditioning the first night, while this was included in the price. It was over 40 degrees... The hotel is also far away from everything. So unfortunately not possible without a car. Super many Belgians and Dutch in the hotel. Didn't really feel like we were on holiday there. Not much choice in breakfast. What was nice, the peacocks walking around the pool.

Avoid this hotel. We booked this hotel for one night during our week. The worst of all. Spring mattress that gives you back pain, yellow bedding, supermarket shopping carts lying around the halls, undrinkable coffee, mediocre breakfast. And worst of all, an invasion of ants in the room, who came right into our bed at night, covering our faces. The staff is friendly despite everything. We were in the non-renovated part. The renovated one looked nicer and better maintained. We travel a lot and have never seen anything like this. On the other hand, there is a nice pool and peacocks come to say hello at breakfast.
