We loved our stay at Horizon Blu! The view from our room was to die for and the breakfast buffet was wonderful every morning. The beach was a very short walk and had comfortable loungers with cute umbrellas. All of the wait staff was very attentive, polite and helpful. Thanks for making our stay in Kalamata a very memorable one!

A local Greek hotel with a large room and a large balcony where you can see the sea. The downside is that the lighting is dim, which is not too uncomfortable. The breakfast service is very good, the food is pure Greek style, and the latte is delicious.

Nice hotel, perfect pool, very clean, plenty of parking spaces.
The hotel is on a busy road, so the area around the pool bar often smells of exhaust fumes, which is probably made worse by the traffic lights right there. The traffic starts at around 6:00, and it is often very loud due to the unreasonableness of some moped and car drivers.
The beach can be reached across the road. It is clean but only around 20m wide with pebbles. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are free. Towels for the pool and beach are also free.
Room is very nice and big, with a view of the sea. Room service is perfect!
The breakfast service could be improved a lot: fried eggs cold, bacon cold, often there is no coffee or hot water for tea. There are often no cups or saucers.
The breakfast staff are really friendly, but the smile doesn't always help.
Overall we liked it, but I think 5 stars is a bit over the top. 4 stars are enough, breakfast 3 stars
Drink prices a bit too high: Aperol Spritz 10€, beer 0.4l 5€ etc.

This hotel should be a 3* ,the rooms are very dated with the dark wood, it makes the room gloomy, definitely needs a revamping. The mattress was brilliant though best sleep we've had in months . The bar prices for drinks and food is extortionate, eg, vodka and coke €17.50 , ( single ) . One portion of fries €16 , 5* prices in a 3* hotel. The manger sits in the pool area all day watching the staff ,watching their every move ,I'm guessing for this reason the staff never speak to guests and rarely to each other , It's a good 15 minute walk to the harbour where all the restaurants are situated, not many shops though we went to the city on nu 1 bus , that was easy . We paid alot ££££'s for an average holiday , oh then you have the tax to pay when leaving.

Best hotel in Kalamata and very clean, very polite and welcoming staff, Takis the manager is the best, good food, clean pool. 30 seconds from the beach, the beach bar service is the best. Best place for familys especially for kids. I will return next year
