First of all, the lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and patient. She asked us every day if we had any necessities. The room was clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. The hotel design was stylish and the fragrance was also very nice. GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are high-end, comfortable, and clean. While smoking is permitted in the hotel, I was pleased to find that my room did not have a smoky smell. The staff was attentive to our needs, and the breakfast offered a good selection.
However, I found that some essential services for foreigners were lacking. For example, assistance with booking a taxi, sending packages, or arranging tours was not available. I was surprised that some essential services were not included, especially given the number of staff available to assist with carrying luggage and opening doors. This was a missed opportunity to enhance the overall guest experience which is something other hotels in China typically offer at no extra cost.
Overall, while the hotel itself is nice, I believe it could benefit from providing these additional services to enhance the guest experience.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to come to Kaifeng and I stayed at Song Dynasty Bianjing Hotel. The overall feeling was very good. The room layout was generous and elegant, the room was spacious, clean and tidy, the view outside the window was wide, the toiletries were of good quality, and the bathroom and toilet were separated and did not affect each other. I originally wanted to stay for one night, but thought the hotel was nice so I extended it for two nights. The room I booked at that time could not be renewed, but the pretty lady at the front desk gave me a free upgrade and solved the problem. I am very grateful. The hotel is very close to several attractions such as Qingming Riverside Park. As for food, the first floor tripe and soup dumplings next to the hotel are good. The mapo tofu opposite is also very delicious. It is a few hundred meters away from the snack night market. Free milk was delivered to the room in the evening, which was very considerate. The breakfast was also very good, clean, delicious and with a wide variety. In short, I had a very good overall impression of the hotel. The driver told me that the second phase of Qingming Riverside Park is also under construction. I hope I can book this hotel next time I visit the entire Qingming Riverside Park.

EExpatFor some of the weekend, I took a train from Xi’an to Kaifeng. This weekend, a cold front came in. It didn’t matter because the Gulou night market had everything I needed to adjust. I found some hidden spots (like Bayu Morning Rikaye Alcohol, Lecker’s Leban German Restaurant, and Jieyou Grocery Little Bar) while exploring. The Millenium Park, Gulou Market, and Wansui Shan Wuxia City are very close. The hotel property is great for walking, and the room was really comfortable. Front desk was easy to communicate with despite the language barrier, and everything very efficient. There is a nice gym and pool, but I was out exploring. There is also a shuttle which can take you to a couple of spots nearby. This property is good for conventions or families, but I was fine as a solo traveler. Food good.

There are many electric cars nearby to sweep the floor. The location is very good. He is very open on the top of the building. It is very big and shocking. After entering the inside, the public area of the entire Youth Hostel is also very good, big and clean. It is comfortable to sit. YYunleDuring the peak check-in period of May Day, we were prepared for the possibility that the room might be arranged in a corner because the check-in plan was close to the early morning. However, the hotel was very humane and arranged a room upgrade, which gave the family an unexpected reward and satisfied the big bathtub that the children liked. The aunt who added the quilt in the middle of the night was also very professional and insisted on helping to put on the quilt cover and pillowcase. The front desk lady prepared masks and cookies for the children. Papaya milk supper was also prepared for the second night. The feeling of ”home” was felt everywhere. It was a very satisfactory check-in experience. If the family travels with children or the elderly, it is highly recommended to choose a suite.

Mmeiling tooThis is a new place with clean and spacious rooms. The owner is a very pleasant young man, always very obliging and quick to respond to all our requests. Eating shops are within walking distance. One of the shops served delicious yue tiao and soya drink.The sights will need a bit of walking but could still be reached by public bus, although you might have to change buses, depending on where you want to go to. A taxi costs about 18 yuan to the train station/long distance bus station.

SShue YingGood place for international guests! Aunty that runs the place is really nice and responsive. The stay was pleasant, the place is old but functioning and reasonably clean for a homestay. Aunty's children speak English and she'll ask them to help, so don't need to be afraid to ask questions. The location is amazing, with an electric ”hello bike (Alipay)” parking spot just on the main road, then everything is easily accessible. Aunty kindly offered to drive me the short distance to the main road to take bus 38 to the north train station as she felt my bag too heavy. Simple fuss free place, would recommend for budget travellers looking for convenience over amenities.
