The room was very relaxing, and the quality of the hot spring water seemed to help with my rough skin. I was a little hectic, but I would have liked to spend more time in the room watching the ferries.
The hotel also had small, medium and large sizes of room wear prepared in the room, but they prepared smaller sizes for us, a small family, which I thought was very kind.
Even if you are staying without meals, there is an A-Coop nearby, so it is quite easy to get foods from Kagoshima such as amberjack (sashimi). I bought Chiran tea there as a souvenir.
The only really disappointing thing is the laundry facilities. Both the washing machine and dryer are cheap at 100 yen per use (paid at the hot spring reception), but they are just ordinary appliances, and the dryer cost 200 yen, and even after running it for almost an hour, it was not completely dry, and I was told that it cannot be run for more than an hour, so I had no choice but to leave it half-dry.
I don't mind the price being higher, but I wish they would consider installing a commercial washer-dryer.
But other than that, I really, really liked it.
I will definitely stay here again.
