Family-friendly Hotels in Johor Bahru

There’s 2 reception counters for check in & out. KSL City Square Mall just connects to the hotel & resort with a glass door apart. The room lightning is not very brighter as can’t see the face clearly when put on makeup. Sadly the shower head is fixed type and the water tap at basin will splash out when turn on. TV unable to watch any channel due to the aerial cable has no signal. Still can hear the water flowing from next door or peoples talking from outside because poor sound insulation inside the room. The room door need to closed harder as it won’t fully close up when letting it close ownself. There’s Avery-day drink stall which can get mystery dolls with purchased drinks.

Room: Clean room and bathroom. Shower area was spacious but could do with a little more hooks. Toilet seat was clean but can see that it's old. Breakfast: Decent spread with a live egg cooking section. Just nice there was a saxophonist playing music on Sunday morning. On Saturday morning, there was a balloon artist making simple balloon sculpture for kids. Amenities: Gym looks decent. There is a pool too but we did not manage to enjoy those. Location: Very convenient, above Zenith Mall, i.e. opposite JBCC, and hence very near to JB City Square and Customs. Can go to Haidilao in Zenith Mall for supper too 😋 Service: Check-in was relatively quick. Staff at check-in counter was friendly. The staff and guard outside the breakfast place were friendly too. The housekeeper was friendly too.

The staff is friendly and helpful during check in. The room is very clean, spacious and well maintained. I booked the room to celebrate my husband’s birthday and he was surprised to see our room being decorated with birthday balloons and a towel made “birthday cake” and a birthday card with handwritten birthday wishes by the staffs. Thank you! 🥰

Hotel Location is great especially near the famous Dim sum restaurant and KsL. Room shows aging conditions and bath tub have misty smell. Not so clean. Keep to be improved. Service is good especially the bell boy. Always open the door and guest with luggage.

Had a one night stay over the weekends, everything was good until I realised I got bed bug bites all over when I left the hotel. The room we stayed in was 2802 but I didn’t manage to capture any photo evidence of bed bugs as I have already checked out when the itch got worse and I saw all the bug bites on my arms and leg. I’ve stayed at Capri many times but it’s the first time I experienced this. Went to the doctor and confirmed I had bed bug bites. Contacted the hotel through trip.com but the hotel staff said they didn’t find any bed bugs. Hope they can thoroughly check again to prevent this from happening to other guests. Room wasn’t the most well maintained with curtain not hung up properly for one hook, and bathroom sink area had a weird screw thing coming out with shower area’s soap holder being at a slope angle that is probably not meant to be. Our cinta ayu room had option of 2 single or a double bed. We chose double bed but it was 2 single beds put together. While we didn’t clarify this with the counter, we are quite sure that this was their “double bed”. Apart from these, actually had a good one night stay with working aircon and comfortable bed. The sports centre had swimming pool with slide too. Seems like a family friendly place.

The checking in process is smooth (take keys from the mailbox on the first floor). The check out process is smooth. At 11:59 am, the owner sent a message about the penalty if not checking out on time. Pls give 5 mins grace due to family logistics and condition. The apartment is linked to KSL Mall (go via Block D special door with the access card) which is convenient. Lift is slow and packed but OK on off peak hours. The room is comfortable for 3 to 4 pax. Booked 3 beds but given 2 double beds. The bed is on the softer side (not my preference). Owner provide TV with TV box (YouTube, Netflix app are available). The rubbish container is too small for rubbish (no housekeeping for 3 days). Suggest the owner provide a bigger one as our rubbish was overflowing. Toilet paper is also barely enough, suggest to provide more.

the room was very clean, spacious also had amenities we needed such as toiletries. the staffs very helpful and always reply to all the questions we asked. the aparthotel also near to the ciq, is really needed. on my nextstay, i will definitely check in here again.
