My first trip at St Giles Southkey.
I was greeted with smile when I check in.
The service is wonderful nothing much to complain about.
The room is clean and tidy, and they even surprised me with a cake on my Wedding Anniversary. Room was nicely decorated with balloons , such a warm welcome. Thank you đ đ đ
St Giles is just situated at Mid Valley Shopping Mall, so is very convenient if you want to stay at the same location for shopping and food.
Breakfast wise, huge selection. I love their Nasi Lemak with Ayam Rendang.
Overall, a good stay at St Giles Southkey, definitely coming back again.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was exactly what I expected â clean, modern, and spacious with a super comfy bed and all the essentials. The lighting and decor gave it a cozy, upscale feel, and the price was definitely affordable for what you get.
One of the best things about this place is the location. There are plenty of shopping options, massage places, and restaurants just a short walk away, so itâs really convenient if you want to explore without going too far. I especially loved the Monday night market right outside the hotel â such a fun and lively scene with tons of street food and local goodies to check out.
Overall, great value for the money and a perfect spot for a relaxing yet fun getaway. Would definitely stay again!

Conveniently located just right opposite KSL mall, about 5-10 mins drive from CIQ. Check in was fast, requested for a high floor, near lift(as my mum had ankle issues) and non-smoking floor which was fulfilled by the front desk. View from the room was great. Room was quite spacious. Bathroom as well. All the necessary items were provided. They even had a mini magnifying mirror at the side in the bathroom for makeup purposes which I think was very user friendly for me especially when Iâm putting my contact lenses. Hotel breakfast buffet had quite a variety of western and local food mixed, view was also very good. On 6th floor is a massage parlour (Thai odyssey) that has a 20% discount of massages for hotel guests only.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet was spacious with complete amenities. However, the service was very disappointing.
Room 808 had a strong smoking smell, and the floor manager just sprayed perfume to cover it but the smoking smell is still there. When I requested a room change, the customer service staff was extremely rude, telling me to call back at 9 PM because it was their break-fast time and i should respect.
They were also reluctant and made it seem troublesome to change room. Propose Hotel management to arrange non muslim staff to handle calls during break fast timing in future, as Foreigners might not comprehend the situation.
Another major issue was the parking system. It is confusing for first-time visitors, as hotel guests need to park at level B2 and validate their Touch ân Go card for free parking. During dinner hours, the queue for validation was ridiculously long, with only one counter available. We had to wait in a line with more than 10 people ahead of us, which was frustrating,
We are rushing for dinner, hence, we paid parking cost RM27 for just 3â4 hours, which is unreasonable.
The hotel staff, especially the phone helpline team, were rude and impatient. Calls took a long time to be answered, possibly due to staff shortages during the fasting month and Hari Raya eve holiday season.
Due to the rude staff and poor service, I will not stay at this hotel again.

All good just that suite room is kinda small in size, but the living room is very spacious and toilet bowl has no leg space because the glass door for shower room is exactly next to the toilet bowl.
maybe can make room bigger and reduce the size of living room and definitely leg space at toilet bowl area needs to be enlarged or replanned. The buffet spread was super delicious and variety of spread. Each n every one of the staff at different department was absolutely friendly, helpful and well mannered! Thumbs up to all and the excellent service provided.

The hotel is strategically located between Jalan Trus and Jalan Wong Ah Fook, prime location if you were to visit JBCC and City Square. It is also close to take the bus to Singapore.
The hotel room is of decent size, filled with wooden furniture. Too much carpentry, furniture and these designs are outdated and non sustainable imho. Bathroom size is good with good Roca fittings, however, more detailed attentions could be given to the water pressure and floor trap flow speed. The tiles and bathroom furniture again is old design despite the hotel is relatively new (completed in 2017/2018).
The bed is huge. The only good part is the complimentary executive lounge served with beer, food and beverages. The wine selection however is one of the worst in 5-star hotels, it would be better to do without the wine and put the money into better food/fruits.
The hotel is hardware driven and I felt there are a lot more that can be done apartment cleaning the room and wash the toilet to make it a truly 5-star hotel. Based on my experience, it's at best a 4-star hotel at 5-star price.

Cleanliness could stand to be improved, we found bloodstains on the sheets even after requesting a change of sheets. Location was great and near to KSL. Service was impeccable and staff was friendly, check in took some time not sure why but they handled it politely and we were comfortably seated, otherwise all was great. Amenities were better than expected even though we didn't use the facilities.
We loved it for the location. All in all, a great deal for it's price!

Just ok for a night stay. We booked a family room. Room was not ready upon check in . We have to wait at the lobby for 20-30 minutes. Vending machine down for the drinks and instant noodles and shops not nearby . Cannot sleep well throughout the entire night. Windows in the bedroom not sound proof . Imagine at 230am onwards you can hear loud sounds from the chickens . Sleepless night and also keep worrying about the children. The kids bunk bed was placed outside actually at the hall area near the toilet and itâs quite worrying as itâs near the main door and also balcony . We opened the bedroom door because we felt itâs quite worrying . Was given a wrong choice of bed but matter been rectified by the agent. This time the aura in the last corner room given to us was not good .

Reasonable price for our stay. Our room could see the still-in-progress rail connection between Singapore and Johore.
The Ramadan buffet dinner we joined was very good. Much variety of food choices. I think there was live music but we were seated where we could not see but only hear.
The day we came on a Causeway Link bus T21 from JB Central - though only 3 stops away, but the road was jammed with traffic. So it took a while for us to arrive at the Zon stop ( Zon is a duty free shopping area mall where Berjaya Waterfront Hotel is next to it).
You can also come this area to take ferry to places like Batam, ....

The location is good as you can just cross the road to get to Aeon Mall. A wide variety of food options and shop types within the mall. There is a decent supermarket and food court as well. Outside of the mall and again within a 5 min walking radius, you have access to food options that are not typically found in the mall, wellness centers, popular local snacks stores and many options for pharmacies and clinic. The staff service is good as well, friendly and try to help. However the room noise isolation is underwhelming, and people partying above my room can be heard. Or maybe the guest above is party way too hard, stamping on the floor causing my partner unable to sleep well throughout the night. Not sure if the restaurant did not cater enough food for the number of guests staying for the night, 90% of the food for breakfast are not available and barely get replenished in the 30 minutes that i stayed in the restaurant. That is at 8.30am and breakfast is supposed to end at 10.30am.

NNgu12Clean and spacious. The building is newly built, so everything looks so new. Comfy and convenient place to stay with restaurants/ marts/ even rnf mall nearby. Nice sea view.
Units are provided with coffee/bottle waters/netflix/fridge/washing machine etc same as description.

Yes, kinda noisy. Not just the sound from the night market BUT also from the hotelâs music at the corridor. If you do find it too loud and disturbing your sleep, do let the front desk know. They can turn it off.
Unfortunately, nothing can be done for the hard hard hard pillowsâŠ. Flatter pillow is hard and likewise, thicker pillow is hard. The blanket isnât properly laid by the housekeeping, with half just the sheet cover. Sloppy.
Front desk staff are friendly and the lobby guy is helpful.

IIvyWe stayed in the pirate theme room. The room has a wet and damped smell. Carpet feels sticky. Room is a bit dated. Only reason I stayed here is the convenience of going to Legoland and free buffet breakfast with a wide selection of food. Kids love the in-room treasure hunt and prizes. If it wasnât for the kids, I wonât stay here.

KKaelyn Kang SFIâm surprised to find Fives Hotel is beyond my expectations. First time staying at Fives hotel and it has so much more to praise. Firstly, location is good as it is located opposite of Komtar shopping centre. You can cross the road from Komtar shopping centre by a traffic light. Secondly, safety is excellent as there is a security guard manning the entrance. You need access card to take the lift to access your room. There is a convenient store just right at the side of the hotel lobby. We stayed in a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. Breakfast is sufficient to fill your stomach. All in all, it is a relatively good hotel for its pricing as jt includes breakfast. Lobby smells good. I would strongly recommend all to give Five a try. Iâve stayed at most hotels near CIQ area, this is better that the hotel next to Fives. đ

AAnonymous UserNot bad for a room at $60 per night. Their housekeeping seems to be very slow. At 3pm check in, most of them rooms were not clean up and ask us to accept lower floor rooms. I have requested for high floor but need to wait 1-2hrs later. Room for improvement to fix your lighting brighter as toilet is too dim to see properly. Not all lift card access is working. Some lift donât even need to tap to go up. Not very safe as anyone could just go up.

JJoeTmVery basic hotel near City Square. To reach the hotel, you can go through the Zenith lifestyle mall opposite Komtar on the 2nd floor and turn left. The streets are brightly lit and some eateries still opened so I don't feel unsafe. Stayed for just 1 night. Room was not very big but sufficient for 1 person. Tv has Sg channels which was a plus for me. Shower gel n shampoo does not feel good, so I used the soap instead. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was consistent. Drinking water can be obtained at the water dispenser. No toilet paper provided when I checked into the room and took a while for them to deliver after my request.
