Vanke Lake Songhua YunLu Hotel

I stayed here for the Dongbei 100. By the time I booked, this was the only twin room left. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very cozy. The shuttle was also very prompt, and breakfast was quite good. All items in the room were complimentary, and the small courtyard was lovely. We couldn't barbecue this time as we had our child, but we'll definitely come back and try it next year during the Dongbei 100 event.

For this trip, we explored many options before finally booking Yunlu. Traveling with a toddler and elderly family members, we had certain expectations for the environment and service. The staff at Yunlu were incredibly warm and welcoming towards our child – they truly went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. As there was an available room, they upgraded us to a children's room with toys, which was incredibly thoughtful! We even enjoyed a barbecue in the hotel's backyard in the evening. That same night, I enthusiastically recommended the hotel to two friends who also have young children. The quality of the disposable amenities was absolutely superb. We'll definitely be back!

I browsed many hotels near Songhua Lake Resort and selected this one based on reviews, so my expectations were quite high. However, the actual experience after checking in didn't quite live up to them. First, regarding the location, finding parking was a real challenge. After check-in, the room's ambiance, decor, and amenities definitely didn't feel like they belonged to a hotel that had just opened in 2024; the wear and tear were very evident. The AC wasn't central and blew directly, making it uncomfortable. The bedding felt a bit damp, likely due to the mountain air. There was no in-room phone, so contact with staff was exclusively via WeChat. Our family room had an incredibly tiny bathroom, with an even smaller shower stall. The shower drain was clogged, and because it was a hot water tank system, the three of us had to take turns, waiting for the water to reheat between each shower. Bathroom hygiene was notably poor. The kitchen sink was also clogged. A tip for non-locals visiting Songhua Lake: do your own research. Don't rely on hotel staff for information; you'll understand why. Also, if you're traveling with kids or are wary of dogs, be sure to keep your children close in the elevator, as you might encounter large dogs, given the hotel is pet-friendly. As for the positives, the small tea room was nice. The shuttle service was good. Breakfast was decent. The hotel's exterior environment was pleasant.

🌸Cleanliness: Compared to other hotels, this one was noticeably cleaner. The beds, sofas, and even the separate study room were spotless, free of any yellowing or water marks. The hygiene truly surpassed other places. 🌸Environment: While the room itself was a bit small, it came with a large TV. I was also pleasantly surprised to find two plush toys, which was a first for me in any hotel room. These thoughtful touches made the overall atmosphere feel much better than other hotels. 🌸Service: The hotel provides complimentary tea bags that guests can collect daily, and they generously offered us many bottles of water. Their service truly stands out compared to other hotels. 🌸Facilities: The breakfast restaurant here is remarkably spacious – the largest I've ever seen! They even offered complimentary Coke and beer, and the breakfast spread was incredibly rich and varied.

Service: The shuttle service was very convenient. The lady at the front desk mentioned it was only a 7-8 minute walk, which I found a bit misleading as it was quite a distance and very hot. However, the shuttle drivers themselves were very friendly and helpful! Cleanliness: The room was very clean. The breakfast was delicious, especially the beef noodles. The lady preparing them was very friendly and even offered to make a separate portion for my child, which I declined to avoid waste if we couldn't finish it. Environment: The room had two balconies. While they weren't huge, the view was fantastic, and enjoying the breeze was very relaxing. Other: I don't think the charcoal barbecue area would be much use, as it's quite hot. The minibar was well-stocked with drinks.

This summer, I visited Songhua Lake for a vacation twice. Beyond the picturesque scenery, my stay at Yunlu Hotel was the main reason I kept wanting to return. As soon as I entered, the ambiance immediately set the perfect mood. With a fireplace, bookshelves, and lounge chairs, I felt completely relaxed and at peace. The room was clean, tidy, and very cozy. The attention to detail was exceptional; the twin beds could be combined, which is great for families with children. The mattress was perfectly balanced – not too soft (unlike some hotels where you wake up with a sore back) and not too firm. The complimentary tea bags and coffee were of good quality, definitely saving me the daily expense of buying Starbucks at the scenic area. The service here is truly outstanding. Besides the incredibly helpful and responsive front desk staff (handsome guys and beautiful ladies!), they also offer a shuttle service to and from the scenic area and bike rentals. And in the winter season, their fireside tea ceremony is something I'm eagerly looking forward to! In short, for anyone planning a vacation to Songhua Lake, Yunlu Hotel is an absolute must-stay! You won't regret it!
