I booked a room with a bathtub. The room was spacious and well-equipped. The bathtub was round, so if you plan on taking a bath, you'd ideally need a round disposable bath liner. The rectangular ones provided in the room tended to slip easily. The room itself was clean and tidy. The only drawback was the inadequate wet/dry separation in the bathroom. The shower area and the toilet were very close, causing water to easily splash onto the toilet when showering. Even after getting out of the bathtub, the surrounding floor was quite wet. The front desk staff provided excellent service, and the location offered convenient access to public transport and was close to tourist attractions. However, the only minor inconvenience was the absence of convenience stores nearby. We had to go further afield or order delivery for water and other essentials. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. You could make an appointment or send your clothes to the front desk for cleaning. After drying, you could schedule a time to have them returned to your room, which was very convenient. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was okay, though limited in variety and leaned towards Cantonese cuisine. People from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai might not be comfortable with it. The dinner buffet, included in the room rate, was surprisingly good, with a decent variety and good taste. The waiters were also very friendly. The hotel is located in the old city, close to attractions and restaurants, and is highly recommended. I was a bit annoyed by the TV projection fee, which is the cheapest in Chaoshan at 5.99 per day and 7.99 for two days. The shower room was also quite small. While there was a folding clothes hanger, it was still inconvenient to store towels and a change of clothes.

We had a wonderful time in this ancient capital Jieyang and staying in this hotel (3N4D), had definitely contributed greatly to our holiday experience in Jieyang The hotel was well-located - walking distance/ short distance on electrical tricycle ride to Xuegong Square (we were there everyday!), walking distance to nearby morning market and night food stalls. The room was very comfortable and contemporary designed, with modern comfort and smart electrical/ digital set-up. There was piped-in music when one was in a shower. We also enjoyed the breakfast, having a chance to try the local Teochew food for breakfast. There was also washing machine and dryer for our laundry which we used while having breakfast. The reception counter staff were very friendly and helpful with our requests/ questions. I will highly recommend this hotel for those travelling to Jieyang.

The 4 rooms, namely Plum, Orchid, Bamboo and Chrysanthemum, are in another location and there is no lobby. The guest room is right behind the door. There is a tea table in the courtyard of the public area on P3. If there are many people staying at the same time, there is no soundproofing and privacy is average (because guests are moving back and forth). Even on the day of check-in, there are other people who check out and come back to use the public toilet... Second: The room is very nice, but it has a bit of a new smell. The standard configuration is a 4-person room, but there are no daily necessities in the room (I found them myself in the linen room later), and there are many mosquitoes in the renovated old room. Key points: There are no room facilities, no luggage racks, and no place to put toiletries in the bathroom. The toilet and bathroom do not have dry and wet separation.
