GGuest UserIt was our wedding anniversary so we wanted to have a cozy trip to a town we had not been to. Did some research and found Wuzhen and decided on Wuzhen Clubhouse.
We knew the pricing would be higher to be inside the visitor zone so it was mainly to take advantage of the location of the hotel.
For the price, it is basic and aged. The room is exactly as you see in photos for the listing. Because the hotel is in a historical building, there is no lift if you stay in a second floor unit.
With a stay inside the visitor area, you can normally have unlimited access to go in and out of the area, whereas if you stay outside then you are limited to the number of access. You can also remember to call and buggy to take you longer distances from the hotel and from certain spots; they just ask you to show proof of stay like your hotel key card. Otherwise you pay per ride at 10 RMB which is not cost efficient.
It’s quite humid and rainy for most of the year so since it’s stone and wood construction, it is vulnerable to be run down easily.
Since we visited in October, it was cool and slightly rainy but the temperature in the room was pleasant with the windows open or with the air conditioning on. I imagine it could get quite hot in summer so this is something to keep in mind.
Breakfast is either in the hotel or you receive a voucher to a breakfast spot in the town. It’s a very full breakfast either Chinese style or western.
The staff are friendly and patient. This is the highlight of the hotel.
When you arrive in the visitor center, you can confirm your check in and your luggage is transported directly to your hotel. And when you depart, the same process in reverse is arranged for you.
We then called a Didi car to leave and the driver picked us up outside of the visitor Centre. You can take a regular yellow taxi in the line in the same area. The price is only slightly higher when you call a car but the car can be much nicer so I think it’s worth the 20 RMB extra to go to the high speed rail station (to go back to Shanghai).
As I said, the price is high for what you get at this location so do some homework and make sure you know what you are looking for.

NNicoleJBIt was a very new hotel and hotel staff was very friendly and every corner they see you will greet you to make you feel at home. The hotel is close to the bar street so walkable distance otherwise take a walk to enjoy the Wuzhen and that’s the purpose.

BBeibeinvwangchutaoCome to Tongxiang with friends during the Chinese New Year, eat mutton noodles, visit Tongxiang Museum, it's worth going! Puyuan, a new scenic spot, is very convenient to get off from the hotel. Take the bus 3 across the road and go directly to the scenic spot in 30-40 minutes!
You can go to Mixc for dinner nearby, a large comprehensive shopping mall!
The hotel room is large, with a separate cloakroom, comfortable bedding, and a bathtub to take a bath and relieve fatigue!

GGuest UserBecause we were traveling with four adults and one child, we chose a hotel with three beds. There were not many hotels to choose from. When we saw this hotel had this room type, we booked it immediately. I didn't expect to be surprised when I entered the room. The room was super large and had three toilets. It should be a standard room and a suite connected. The use space is very spacious and the facilities are complete. Good reviews.
At the same time, there is a fast charger in the hotel's ground parking lot, which is very friendly to trams. Good reviews.
The breakfast is also very rich, and there are special mutton noodles.
Improvements:
1) There is no body lotion or cotton swab in the room;
2) The front desk is inexperienced. When registering, a friend registered first and sent the room number to me. I went to the front desk to make up the registration and get another room card later. When re-registering, because there was a stranger at the front desk, I deliberately typed the room number on the screen of my mobile phone to show it to the front desk, and verbally explained that I wanted to re-register the card for this room. As a result, the front desk didn't think about it at all and shouted out room 2828 directly. At the same time, because I used an electronic ID card, the front desk may not see my surname, so I asked what my surname was. When I said my surname, the front desk read my full name loudly again. It was equivalent to reporting the room number and the customer's name. It seemed that they had not been trained at all and did not know how to protect customer privacy. This made people feel very unprofessional;
3) The room has not been air-conditioned yet, and it is very stuffy;
4) During the breakfast buffet, I asked for a paper cup to pack a cup of coffee to take away, because I just had breakfast and could not drink coffee, but I had to drive away in a while, so I wanted to pack a cup of coffee to take away, but the staff told me that it was not allowed. If you want to pack a cup of coffee, you need to use up a breakfast quota in the room. Although it is understandable that the principle of buffet does not allow packaging, I think the hotel should be able to meet the demand that is not too excessive, or communicate and negotiate, but it is very speechless to tell that a cup of coffee requires an additional breakfast quota to exchange. Fortunately, a supervisor was replaced later to communicate directly, and he actively helped to prepare a paper cup.
The overall cost performance is still very high. It would be better if the service awareness could be slightly improved. Thank you

MMelody Cowe took a bus from shanghai pudong airport to jiaxing north station then just took a taxi via didi in alipay to get here. the homestay location was great since they were just beside the No. 2 Gate. For foreigners, we needed to get tickets and show our passports to the visitor center just around 100 meters away from the gate and hotel. from before our arrival all the way to check in, i was in touch with them already via wechat and the response was always very quick and helpful. we liked that the inn also had a free shuttle service on call for us and took us back and forth to dongzha (and old street beside it), as well as the bus station to get to suzhou. The uncle was also very helpful and friendly, ever ready to help us with our luggage all the way to the 3rd floor and to give us his recommendations on timings, directions and such. The younger family member in the front desk was also very helpful! They told us not to engage with the many people offering day trips outside just to be safe. They also lent us umbrellas for the rain and sun, and even band-aids.
We would gladly stay at this B&B again but request a lower floor like the 2nd just because we usually go back mid-day and tend to forget stuff so the flights of stairs is something to consider if you're not up to the exercise. The room and toilet were very clean and good value for money! They were also very considerate as to putting all scents away upon my request. Just beside the B&B were small groceries, eateries and stores so we walked around also at night. For wuzhen, we did xizha only first next to the hotel from 4pm onwards for one day then dongzha ,old street (morning to afternoon) and xizha at night again the next day to save on the ticket costs.

MMichael & Nici Exploring China and BeyondWe booked our stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Jiaxing, to celebrate my wife's Birthday, and to enjoy Dragon Boat Festival.
The initial impact when entering the Hotel is good, the fragrance is pleasant, and the decor is modern and sleek.
During the online booking process, I had some Special Requests ”Romantic Theme” for the room, the request, was promptly approved.
Upon entering the Hotel, we were greeted by Sandy, at the front of House / Reception area.
Her service was prompt and professional.
She was friendly and informed us, that my wife would be receiving a cake for her Birthday.
The check in process was efficient.
We had the opportunity to briefly meet Edith, the Manager on duty.
She was friendly and welcoming.
The Birthday Cake and Fruit Platter, was delivered to our room, shortly after we checked in.
In my experience, the ”Restaurant” is the ”heartbeat” of any successful Hotel.
A restaurant with poor service and / or bad food, will surely lead to the demise of the business.
Fortunately, that's not the case for the ”Eatery Restaurant” at the ”Four Points by Sheraton” in Jiaxing.
The Restaurant's Staff are all very professional, and take pride in what they do.
The Buffet Dinner is available, during the weekends, and is very reasonably priced (great value for money).
The variety and quality of the cusine, is on International standard.
Western and Chinese dishes, are professionally prepared, and served at this Restaurant.
If I were to single out on special dish, it would most definitely be the ”Beef Wellington”, it was perfectly cooked and presented (the Best I have eaten, to date).
Compliments to the chef/s in this regard.
Special thanks to Tina, whom is always courteous, when I / we, visit the Restaurant.
Infact, Tina is the reason for my return and stay at the Hotel, this time around.
As she was most courteous and professional, during another visit to the Restaurant some time back.

I could not help but notice, that Housekeeping were cleaning the rooms thoroughly.

We can recommend the ”Four Points by Sheraton” Jiaxing, to all guests, foreign and domestic.

KKohji TranThis is my second stay in Tongan within two months. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, situated right next to the tourism center. It’s walkable, so you don’t need to rely on a shuttle bus for check-in and check-out. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, even though they’re located away from the main street. The breakfast options are also great, with a variety of choices to suit different tastes. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist you.
I want to express my gratitude to Ms. Wang (王月） for her exceptional service. She picked us up from the shuttle bus, helped us with the check-in process, and introduced us to the app, map, and facilities within the room as well as the attractions nearby. This made our stay much easier and more enjoyable.

GGuest UserThe owner is very nice and friendly. There’s no lift in the building, but the owner helped us to carry our luggage to the room. He also recommended us hanfu and photo shooting studio which provides a superb service.
The room comes with 2 beds, hence, it’s a bit pack with our luggage open up. The room type a bit old (traditional feel) but overall we had good experience here.
The owner also very helpful, he helped us to arrange transport from wuzhen to Suzhou with a low rate. He also give us souvenirs before we left.

WWaitandaiwangI give Alila Wuzhen a full score! This hotel was the biggest surprise of my trip to Wuzhen.
Guest Room:
I was upgraded to a garden villa room with an area of 145 square meters and an indoor area of 78 square meters. Visually, it feels large, and the living room and bedroom are designed as one. Although it is large, it does not feel empty.
The long corridor design of the bathroom space is well-thought-out. There is skylight on the top. They pour down, white and layered, which makes me, the occupant, feel bright and happy all of a sudden.
There is floor heating to resist the dampness and coldness of Jiangnan in winter.
The seemingly inconspicuous guest room welcome food is a small surprise and great care. It is a small pastry with coconut shreds, which looks like Jiangnan pastries. It is small, beautiful and delicious. The white snow-like coconut shreds are laid below. Does it mean snowing in winter? Unexpectedly, there is also a bottle of whiskey-like flat bottle of water. Looking more closely, it is the hotel's homemade jasmine white hair.

In the morning, we had a buffet with Wuzhen mutton noodles and eggs Benedict.
At Sanbai Bar, I experienced their newly launched afternoon tea for Spring Festival with my friends. At first glance, I felt festive. The red date wolfberry latte and the ”good news peanuts” with peanut crumbs left a deep impression.
Design:
It's easy to make a photo. I like it. The design company GOA is amazing.
What impressed me most was the abstract geometric architectural forms in this area presented between the sky and the water. The reflections are flowing and uncertain. It is also an expression of architectural order related to nature, expressing the hotel designer's understanding and innovative interpretation of traditional spatial aesthetics.
By the way, I saw egrets in the hotel!

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, meticulous care was like a shadow. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and professional, quickly checked in, and introduced the hotel restaurant, bar and other building locations.
Because Alila Wuzhen emphasizes the design of dramatic scenes, when I first arrived that day, it was like being in a Jiangnan maze. When I went to restaurants and bars, I met randomly uncles and aunts trimming plants and gave me enthusiastic guidance. I am grateful to them for taking me there.
