Newly renovated, the hotel is stylish and refined. Even during the May Day holiday, the prices were acceptable. The hotel is quite spacious, which helped disperse the crowds, so it never felt noisy.
The business twin room, at 40 square meters, is generously sized and very comfortable.
The garden outside the gym is also quite beautiful.
Cross the bridge directly opposite the hotel, and in about 5 minutes, you'll reach Haogu Pagoda. Climbing the pagoda offers panoramic views of the entire South Lake. There's a beautiful greenway around South Lake, with weeping willows and clear blue waters, making for a very pleasant stroll.
Turning right from the hotel, a 10-minute walk brings you to the Zicheng Ruins, with the Grand Cathedral right next door. A tram station is conveniently located by the cathedral.
Xiexi Street is located behind the hotel, and a 15-minute walk will bring you to the famous Shaomai eateries there.
Just to the right of the hotel, there's an ice cream shop. Their pecan ice cream is delicious, and their lemon-chili flavored ice cream is surprisingly amazing.
Also nearby are a Wufangzhai specialty store and a cozy cat cafe.
The hotel breakfast, priced at a very reasonable 38 RMB per person, offers great value. It includes live cooking stations for noodles and wontons, as well as fruit salads, freshly brewed coffee, and kid-friendly options like cereal and yogurt.
Yuehe Street is also within easy reach. Hotel parking is free, and there are ample spaces, even during long holidays.

EEUC riderFantastic rooms. Very large and well appointed. Restaurants don’t do well for vegans but otherwise fine. Service in the Paulaner bar was slow with only one server the evening we tried it. It’s not cheap but it’s very good value for what you get. I’ve stayed twice and would definitely stay again. Recommended if you want to be near the train station.

SSophieMOur stay at 盛庭行馆 was truly the highlight of our trip to Wuzhen. From the moment we checked in until after we left, our butler 露佳provided impeccable service and constant care. She checked in with us regularly, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect.
During our visit, I celebrated my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond to make it special — with a beautifully decorated room and a lovely cake. 露佳also gave excellent recommendations for local food and attractions, and made restaurant reservations for us effortlessly through messages.
The room was elegant and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere felt both refined and welcoming. Although we visited during the Theater Festival and the town was quite crowded, the serenity and hospitality of 盛庭行馆 made it a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle.
I would absolutely choose to stay here again, perhaps at a quieter time, to enjoy even more of its charm.

AAnonymous UserThe most delightful surprise of our Wuzhen trip was the impeccable butler service at Diligence Hotel! From the moment our reservation was confirmed, we felt completely taken care of. Our butler proactively added us on WeChat, patiently provided transportation routes, the shuttle bus schedule for the scenic area, and even reminded us about Wuzhen's weather and clothing recommendations in advance, putting us at ease before we even left. Upon arriving at the Tourist Service Center, our butler was already waiting, actively helped with our luggage throughout, and accompanied us on the exclusive shuttle to the hotel, saving us the trouble of finding our way. During check-in, they not only detailed the smart amenities in the room, the complimentary minibar, and the L'Occitane toiletries, but also thoughtfully gave us a room with a direct view of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal – opening the window was like stepping into a traditional ink painting. During our stay, the butler's response time was astonishingly fast. Whether it was asking about shuttle times late at night or needing to book a boat ride or afternoon tea on short notice, they responded instantly and handled everything promptly. If Wuzhen's beauty is like an ink wash painting, then the butler service at Diligence Hotel was the finishing touch. This professional, meticulous, and warm assistance made our Jiangnan trip exceptionally perfect. Next time we visit Wuzhen, we will definitely choose Diligence Hotel again, all for this butler service that perfected every detail!

1101552****Traveling with my elderly parents, I opted for a hotel within the scenic area. While hotels there tend to be pricier, I chose the Yiyuan, which was relatively more affordable and had good reviews. From the day before check-in, the hotel staff proactively contacted us, providing all the necessary information. On arrival, they were waiting for us at the parking lot, escorted us to the hotel, and offered detailed, patient explanations and thoughtful service. The hotel has its own courtyard, and our room featured a small balcony. All the amenities were very authentic, and they even provided a shower stool especially for seniors.
Hotel guests enjoy free admission to the scenic area and complimentary shuttle bus service within the park, making this hotel excellent value for money. It was a wonderful stay.

KKazzy travelerInspirok Hotel Tongxiang- First time back in Tongxiang after 4 years. 7 nights in a spacious ”Business Room” in building B with 2 very firm king single beds that gave me a sore upper back. (I don't have back problems normally...) Flat pillows. The hopeless Air-conditioning struggled to get to an absolute low of 23C and was noisy. (32C days and 26C nights.). Huge bathroom with bath. Flow limited shower with hand shower and rain shower. Mostly quiet due to reduced occupancy and outside traffic. Good blockout curtains. International power points with USB power but you must have an earth pin if you want to use an Aussie plug. (Or risk manually pushing up the earth lockout.) Many free english movies available now on the tv in reasonable quality. One thing that I found particularly handy was that a small tube of liquid laundry detergent is supplied and some hooks above the bath.
There was no bar fridge in my room on arrival but one was quickly supplied, gratis, when I asked. (Empty).
Large shopping mall one block from the hotel and small 7-eleven type shop very near the front entrance where you can buy tsing taos for 6rmb.
The included buffet breakfast was pretty average with fewer choices and poorer quality than similar 5* hotels. Very average automatic coffee machines and coffee pots. It was also so overcrowded on the Sunday- with a convention booking- that many people could not be seated. Most mornings it was reasonably quiet.
Excellent room service Indonesian fried rice. I also had the ”all you can eat” buffet a couple of nights but thought that it was over priced for the quality of food available at 138RMB (approx 30aud.)
Reasonable wifi access throughout the hotel and I was able to read my Gmail but not send it. (I couldn't even download it in Jiangsu.)
There is no option on the Trip booking page to ask for 'special requests” for this hotel. Also no option to ask for a non smoking floor and I wasn't asked at check-in. Very annoying.

The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, especially during the theater festival. It's just a short walk to the bustling theater market, and the shuttle bus stop is right outside the hotel. Their luggage forwarding service was a real lifesaver, allowing us to go straight out and enjoy ourselves without any hassle.
Room Quality and Details:
I was impressed that they provided L'Occitane toiletries, which instantly elevated the stay experience. The breakfast was also rich and delicious.
Only Minor Drawbacks:
The overall lighting in the room was a bit dim; those who prefer a brighter environment might find it less comfortable. The room also felt a little humid.

DDaily happinessLocation is great because it’s near to the main entrance of wuzhen. Had a great value of lunch outside of wuzhen tourist attraction. Tried having dinner inside of wuzhen and it was below average.
The room itself is slightly small after luggage is opened up but I would say it’s got all you need, ie. air conditioner with right temperature to keep you warm, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, shower head worked perfectly well too . I had a decent sleep in this room.
The only downside was the staff service. No early check in, luggage was not transferred to the room, wifi was not set up. Staffs were not friendly . Basically they will cover your question if you ask. Tried to reach out to them on WeChat and the responses were slow and not helpful. As this building is away from their main block, you need help to carry big/ heavy luggage on the uneven stone pathway and also from corridor to lobby via staircase.
Less hassle if you are travelling light.

The service at Alila Wuzhen was exceptional. Both the room service and front desk staff were incredibly responsive and helpful. The front desk took the time to carefully explain all the facilities to us, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well-informed throughout our stay
One of the highlights of our trip was dining at the hotel’s Chinese restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the ambiance was enhanced by a stylish setting surrounded by bamboo. This thoughtful design created a sense of privacy for each table, making our dining experience even more enjoyable
I was also pleased to discover that the gym is open 24 hours, which is a significant advantage for fitness enthusiasts. Additionally, the indoor swimming pool was kept at a warm temperature, allowing us to take a refreshing swim even during the chilly winter nights
Lastly, the villa-type design of the hotel is simply breathtaking. Every corner is aesthetically pleasing, making it feel like a photo opportunity at every step. Overall, Alila Wuzhen exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return for another memorable stay!

Jjoys****This hotel is in the absolute heart of the Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area. Just cross the river and you're on the main street, and it's only a few minutes' walk to the morning tea house, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel is actually a collection of guesthouses, and when it's quiet in the mornings and evenings, it almost feels like you've traveled back in time.
The hotel probably isn't brand new, and the decor and facilities are a bit dated, with rooms on the smaller side. However, it's generally clean, and they even provide small snacks and fruits.
Overall, for exploring within Wuzhen, it's a pretty good choice.
