I have to say that this is the most satisfying hotel during this trip to Yunnan. The Chinese garden style is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. It is the biggest surprise of this trip to Yunnan. Recommended.

The first time I went to Jianshui, I chose the Hanlin Academy in the ancient city. The location is good. There is a large parking lot at the door. Guests staying in the hotel can park for free. The hotel is a small garden, and the rooms are distributed in several different courtyards. Breakfast was in a small courtyard, and it felt good. I ate Jianshui's special red rice noodles. The weather was really hot. After walking around the ancient city, I was a little hot and sweated when I slept at night. The next morning, I put a sign that the bed sheets needed to be changed at the head of the bed. Jianshui has a profound cultural heritage and is suitable for slow travel. Ancient buildings, purple pottery, and steamed chicken are all excellent.
The hotel and Jianshui have a very consistent tone. The Chinese garden is elegant and comfortable. The two books by Hunzige in the room help tourists to have a deeper understanding of Jianshui and love Jianshui. The staff are responsible, professional and efficient (helped to deal with an accidental sprained ankle, and sent ice packs and Yunnan Baiyao). It is very nice to bask in the sun in the courtyard.
