Hotels in Dongmun Market / Jeju City Hall, Jeju

The room was very clean and in a good location. I didn't stay in a room with an ocean view this time, but the room opposite should be facing the ocean. The hotel is right on the beach and there is a good cafe next to it for breakfast. Many people are running in the morning. It only takes ten minutes to walk to Dongmen Market. It is also very close to Pork Street. There is a parking lot in the basement and a gym on the first floor. The swimming pool is not suitable for use until 3 pm.

The location is convenient, and the room was clean and tidy, directly facing the sea. It features both a shower and a bathtub, but be cautious as the tub can be a bit slippery. The staff's foreign language proficiency seemed generally poor. We even encountered front desk personnel who struggled with both English and Chinese. As a result, we couldn't confirm our breakfast reservation for the following day, and the child policy regarding charges was not clearly communicated. When we went to breakfast, the hostess at the restaurant entrance and the front desk manager were quite rude. Communication was still a struggle, and they simply stated that our booking wasn't registered, repeatedly emphasizing the price. This level of service was utterly unprofessional. However, other service staff we encountered were polite and helpful, which made our interactions pleasant.

The location is excellent, right by Dongmun Market, making it easy to walk to both Dongmun Market and Chilseong-ro Shopping Street. Public transport is incredibly convenient, with direct bus routes to the duty-free shop. Right opposite, there appears to be a park where many visitors were taking photos in traditional Korean Hanbok. There are also plenty of convenience stores nearby. All in all, the location is superb. Check-in is fully automated; there are no staff members on duty. You simply scan a QR code upon arrival and follow the on-screen instructions, and a video guide is also provided. The room amenities, however, are a bit dated. I did notice cleaning staff tidying up as I was checking out.

Facilities: The hotel is very conveniently located near the airport, just about 3 kilometers away. Getting around is incredibly easy, with a bus stop right outside. During my stay, buses were always readily available whenever I needed to go out, and using Naver Maps made navigation super efficient, saving a lot of time. Right outside, you'll find two convenience stores (a GS25 and a CU). If you walk a bit to the right from the hotel, you'll reach Jeju City Hall. At the main intersection, there's a huge Daiso, along with Art Box, ABC Mart, Olive Young, and a BBQ Chicken restaurant. This excellent location means you don't need to venture into the crowded city center for shopping or dining. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned daily and was consistently quite clean. Ambiance: It was quiet, and our window offered a lovely sea view, which was particularly beautiful on clear, sunny days. Service: Only two complimentary bottles of water are provided, so I'd recommend buying larger ones from the nearby convenience stores. I stayed for 4 days, and for a standard room priced at just over 200, the value for money was truly exceptional.

Stayed in a family room which seemed new with 4 single beds. It's huge and able to open two luggages with ample of walking space. We did not request housekeeping at all during our stay. But they were kind enough to provide clean hand towels and bottles of water every day placed outside of our door since we indicated DO NOT DISTURB. Nice comfy bed, perfect aircon temp during summer. Nice heated shower and they even have heated floors. CU and a bakerywas at lobby and Olive Young was opposite the hotel. Halal food at Asalam was good and 5 mins walking distance. Famous brand Shopping area and dongmun market was like 8 to 10mins away. MacDonald and 24/7 emart supermarket was 5mins away. Had to catch an early flight out at 5am. Best to book a maxi cab the day before at K Ride app. Cost about Sgd17.

The greatest advantage of this hotel is its convenient location. Situated in the city center, it’s just a few steps to the bus stop, easy to reach nearby popular attractions. There’s a convenience store downstairs where you can basically get everything you need for breakfast. If you don’t feel like eating from the convenience store, you can also walk to nearby places. Overall, I was very satisfied with this stay! Also, the room was clean and quiet. This hotel is my top choice for accommodation in Jeju Island, highly recommend!

The hotel entrance is locked from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. You cannot enter without completing check-in unless you’re fortunate enough to encounter another guest. Ironically, self-check-in can only be completed on the seventh floor of the building. As a result, we waited outside for half an hour before someone let us in. The location is excellent, with supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping malls nearby. Price is also reasonable. This place is good as long as you can do the check-in from 8am to 10pm.

Convenient & Friendly Stay in Jeju Among the 4 hotels I booked for this trip, this one had the most guest-friendly check-in/out policy — check-in after 2 PM and check-out before 12 PM, unlike many hotels in Busan that require check-in after 4 PM (even 8 PM!) and check-out before 10 AM. The staff was friendly, though she only spoke Chinese — but no problem, she was sweet and used a translation app to communicate. The room was small and didn’t have a closet or hanger, but it was clean, new, and comfortable. Perfect if you just need a safe and convenient place to sleep. Great location, only 20 minutes to the airport, with many bus routes nearby for exploring Jeju’s top sights.

Everything was good, but the owner's service attitude was very bad. He asked us to pay extra for the two children we brought with us. One child was 15,000 won a day. I was speechless. He said that because there was no note for the other two children, what was the point of the family room? Was it just to take advantage of people's surprise to rip us off? The clerk and the owner took turns to come to our room to ask for money. They were aggressive. They also arranged the wrong room for us. We clearly booked a family room, but the room with a big bed was arranged. I don't know how much the price difference was. They said that we had to contact Ctrip customer service to not add the child's fee. We went back to buy food at 9 o'clock, but they made a lot of trouble before we ate it at 11 o'clock. It was all cold. I was speechless! Everyone should take this as a warning, don't let them rip you off invisibly. It is said that all hotels in Korea are like this, they will charge more money. I was drunk, too.

The hotel has a good location. There are various restaurants, shops and bus stations nearby. It was not new, but neat and clean with everything needed. We arrived after midnight and checked-in fast. The lady at the reception said there were no restaurants open at that time, but we actually found a couple of nice ones nearby.
