The stay was nice. The property has been created in a very traditional haveli setup which gives a great feel for the design in the olden glory days. The support could do with some improvements. Though the staff is eager to please, they could do with some guidance especially since this is not touted just as an airbnb but a hotel. The breakfast is the same everyday with not much choice. And what stunned us was the comment that foreigners get eggs while indians get pratha only. Obviously it is confusing when in a group like ours we had a mix. My suggestion would be to give a clear idea of costs and options upfront. On our third night we actually ran out of drinking water since we returned almost at 11:30. Added to that the main gate was closed so we couldn’t go out then easily. These chaotic aspects can be easily managed by training the staff a little and also making sure that the 24 hr housekeeping comment on the booking is actually followed. Overall though a very nice trip and also with some suggestions from the host, we could plan the days better.

400 RMB a night in India is not bad. The room was clean and quiet, although it was very noisy outside. Western style management style, very professional service. Hotel meals are small, but the hygiene is very good.

The hotel is beautiful, and the welcome ceremony also makes the hotel feel very friendly and welcoming. The finishing environment, location, and price are the most luxurious configurations in the area. Food can't pick faults, because Chinese people like to eat very limited things, so they have to find something to eat, they are already very happy. The female staff of the hotel are very good. I saw families with children who are willing to take care of them. But male employees are not the same, and there are often obvious and implicit tips for asking for tips, which makes people very upset. There are many activities in the evening, puppet shows, traditional Indian dances, music and more. After the 2 minute puppet show ended, the Indian came out and asked me for a tip, which made me very unhappy, so I responded to the lobby manager when I left the hotel. But this is not pleasant and does not affect the overall evaluation of the hotel. A family traveling with children is highly recommended for this hotel. The pool is also super large.

Sahar palace is a great place to stay in. Serene and peaceful atmosphere, clean rooms and warm hospitality. The food prices were a bit high but that's understandable. Would highly recommend anyone to this place.

Quite convenient and great space. Love the views from the top floor rooms. Have stayed here many times and can say the stay in comfortable. The property is aged though so few maintenance issues are visible but definitely nothing that would bother many. The grouting in the rooms are quite visible now and would need a good deep clean in the bathroom. Somehow the hot water is turned off at nights.
