A really relaxed and informative hands on experience learning intimate family traditions. Ingredients were fully explained and you were reminded of the depth and importance of long held traditions and strong family ties. Our hosts were very hospitable and welcoming where no subject was taboo.

This home stay was wonderful. The terrace location for the meals and cooking demonstration was great: owls and parakeets in the trees! Everyone was very welcoming, interested in what we were doing, full of suggestions. Learned a lot from the cooking demo… we were inspired to come home with lots of spices and even a chapati pan from Jaipur. Strongly recommend!

We were a group of nineteen, we went for a cookery demonstration and dinner. It was a wonderful evening, the food was amazing, the ambience beautiful, the hosts friendly and welcoming, the hospitality exceptional. I would like to go back and stay there on a future trip to India.

We had the best evening, watching a fascinating cookery demonstration and then eating the best food we have ever had in India. We can't recommend this lovely family business enough. So, so good . We'd love to return and stay here for a longer time

The whole experience was wonderful. JD and Devika were welcoming and helpful, Chandrika made cooking fun and the rest of the staff were so lovely. The rooms were pretty, comfortable and the house was just perfect for a relaxing stay and a place to retreat to after a busy day sightseeing. The food was tasty and plentiful and if we get a chance we will definitely come back as I wished I had had longer to enjoy it this time.

This was a wonderful place to stay for three night when we visited Jaipur. The welcome we received from our hosts was very warm and the staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is a fairly small and beautifully maintained traditional family home - a welcome refuge in a quiet corner of this fascinating but busy city. The bedrooms are attractive and the beds enormous and comfortable; the air conditioning was quiet and effective. All the food is freshly prepared and delicious, varying every meal; I really enjoyed the cookery demonstration too. Sitting on the roof terrace with a cool drink is a treat. Although the outdoor swimming pool is small it's a good facility to have. We would certainly recommend the Ikaki Niwas and the place to stay on a visit to Jaipur.

I cannot comment on the accommodation but if it is as good as the rest of the homestead I would be overjoyed. We went on a group tour for a cookery demonstration which we were encouraged to join in with and was so light hearted We had a tour and a fabulous meal followed including the food we had helped to make. We were made so welcome by the family by the end of the night we felt like they were friends . Food was fantastic, the home was beautifully kept and immaculate .Every one of us enjoyed the experience.

Devika & Chandrika were perfect hosts, friendly, welcoming, and happy to share their home with us. We very much enjoyed the cookery demonstration and the fabulous meal which followed. It was certainly a unique experience of Indian life at home. Namaste. John
