We are with the Globus tour. We have been in India since 1/18/25 and have been eating local food every night. A group of 17 ate dinner tonight hosted by Himanshu and his lovely family. The dinner was super delicious and better than any restaurant. His whole family was very kind and hospitable. I am very grateful to have met him and his family from thousands of miles away from home.

The experience was very enjoyable and comfortable. He showed us a cooking technique unique to his family and we all got involved. The food was very good and I enjoyed the home vibe. We also enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs. Overall great experience.

My mom and I traveled to India to explore the culture and enjoy safari. We booked our trip through an agency that informed us of a cooking class and dinner with a family in Jaipur, which we eagerly accepted, and I’m so grateful that we did. Himanshu and Deepti welcomed us into their home with open arms. We first conversed over drinks in their entry room, and then proceeded to the kitchen to learn a quick, easy, and delicious recipe. The best part of the experience was sharing a meal with them and their two daughters, learning more about their story. The whole operation feels like an homage to Himanshu’s mother, the person who taught him how to cook. I highly recommend this experience for anyone traveling to Jaipur, and I can genuinely state it was my favorite meal in India.

The hotel is conveniently located next to two main roads, but a little inland. No noise was heard. There are railway tracks nearby, but again it was not noisy, I would even say quiet, you could hear birds and other animals, and from the infrastructure it was almost silent. Excellent home-cooked food, breakfast was included. Lunches and dinners must be ordered in advance, the menu from the manager is quite varied, there is both poultry and lamb. For breakfast they mainly brought omelette, muesli. To our surprise, the owner of the hotel himself met us, he was very friendly and welcoming. We had booked a Deluxe with a large bed, but he upgraded our room to a villa. A large room with a small veranda, to which they then brought us breakfast and dinner. The room is clean, separate air conditioning, fan. Large bathroom. There is a TV and a separate Internet access point, which was at a good speed. The room was clean, the bed linen was also white. There was nothing to complain about.

My friend and I were hosted by Himanshu and his wife and staff for a cooking experience and dinner. Their home is beautiful and the whole cooking demo was professionally done. Himanshu and his wife were so open and friendly and shared their passion of cooking. They made family recipes and the dinner afterward was delicious. The chicken pickle was extraordinary and I don’t think I’ll ever get to taste something like that again in the states.

My wife, mother-in-law and myself went for a cooking class and dinner experience. The family is lovely and easy to converse with. We learned a lot about their family and Indian culture through the conversation. The cooking experience was well planned. We learned to make one dish and two types of bread. They honored our dietary restrictions, and the entire experience was lovely. Would highly recommend to anybody that would like a more genuine experience of Jaipur culture.
