An excellent hotel which was a great place to end our visit to India. We particularly recommend the hotel's morning walking tour with Sujit Rathore which was a real highlight. He took us to the early morning flower and vegetable markets, and a temple service. He was engaging, knowledgeable and friendly - one of the best guides we have had. We also did a tour through our holiday company with Anshu Godara - a walking tour of hidden Havelis and temples - another highlight. She was also an excellent guide - so engaging, listening to our questions, genuinely interested in her work. We so valued these guides. The hotel food was seriously impressive - we did have some pasta (I know) and it was so good.

Our stay at Samode Haveli in Jaipur was nothing short of spectacular. This heritage hotel, nestled within the heart of the Pink City, exudes a perfect blend of royal charm and contemporary comfort. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with traditional elements, offering a serene and luxurious escape. The attention to detail is impressive, with rich tapestries, ornate furniture, and antique fittings that make the entire experience feel like a step into history. The service at Samode Haveli is exceptional. The staff went out of their way to make sure every need was met, with a genuine warmth and attention to detail that made our stay feel personalized. Whether it was the front desk staff, the housekeeping team, or the waitstaff at the restaurant, everyone was eager to ensure a perfect experience. Special mention goes to Pushpen at the front office & Ganesh at the restaurant. The food at the on-site restaurant was also a highlight, offering a mix of traditional Rajasthani cuisine and international dishes. Each meal was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors were just divine. Another standout feature of Samode Haveli is its location. While it offers a peaceful retreat, it’s also conveniently close to the main atteactions. Overall, Samode Haveli is a remarkable place to stay, offering an unforgettable blend of heritage, luxury, and hospitality.

Lovely old buildings converted into a heritage hotel in the heart of Jaipur. The public areas were beautiful. Our room was quirky but very well appointed. Slightly hard towels - but that applied throughout our trip once we left Delhi so not unusual. Staff were generally charming and helpful but one or two of the restaurant staff seemed to find it physically painful to crack a smile. Their other staff deserve better support as they were lovely to a one. It's a fairly small hotel so I don't believe senior staff don't recognise you after three days but no smile of recognition could be extracted. The restaurant is good for dinner and they have live tabla music each evening. We very much enjoyed their thalli. Be warned they have large coach parties in for a buffet lunch which rather destroys the atmosphere. Well worth staying if you like the 18th century Rajastan style and enjoy being in the heart of the old city. Strong recommendation because of the buildings and the location - but a 4 because of that lack of smiles.

This heritage-style hotel was everything we hoped for and more. The building itself is a charming maze, full of character and history, with each corner offering something beautiful. The check-in room is absolutely breathtaking, setting the tone for the entire stay. The hotel exudes a true sense of old-world India, from the stunning courtyard to the bar that feels like it's straight out of a 1930s film set. We particularly loved the outdoor restaurant, where we dined beneath the shade of a grand Banyan tree—truly an unforgettable experience. The food was impeccable, offering a delightful mix of both Indian and Western cuisines. The swimming pool area and gym were fantastic, and the meticulously kept gardens—filled with fragrant flowers—were a joy to stroll through. Our room was spacious, quirky, and very comfortable, with thoughtful furnishings that added to its charm. Cleanliness was an 8-9/10, which we attribute to the natural quirks of the historic building—straight edges are a rarity in such an old structure! We stayed for three nights, but could have easily stayed longer. If you’re heading to Jaipur, do yourself a favor and book here—you won’t be disappointed. And last but not least, the staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, and incredibly efficient. We had a lot of laughs with them, and they went out of their way to make our stay perfect.
