I recently had the delight of staying at Izu Marriott, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location of the hotel. Nestled in the picturesque town of Izu, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The hotel itself is equally impressive. It is well-designed and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. What really stood out to me, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff at Izu Marriott. They were incredibly polite and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that I had a memorable stay. Whether I needed recommendations for local attractions or assistance with my room, the staff was always available and eager to help. Especially thank Roshan and the front desk team, who provide exceptional service to us.

This is a Ryokan which has a very good reputation. For me, the stay is perfect and I will recommend this Ryokan. Even though you cannot value the location of the Ryokan, as Shuzenji is a very small place. The Rokan is right opposite to the bamboo forest, which is suitable for my personal view. However, you need to notice as it is close to the bamboo forest and near to the river, you will find many bugs here, especially at night. Don't forget to close the windows and doors. When you first arrive at the Ryokan, don't forget to take a photo of the board at the door as you can find your name on it. If you have a name that can be written in Kanji, you can even email them to let them write in Kanji. The Ryokan itself is large but the staff are very nice and friendly. They will introduce the whole Ryokan to you when you arrive and lead you to the most places so that you can find out the several Onsens and amenities' locations. I will recommend you to discover the Ryokan when you are free. The Ryokan even provides guided tours as most of the buildings here are cultural heritage. Moreover, the Ryokan will even provide umbrellas, so no worries when it rains. The English of Ryokan staff is not ideal, as you might be able to guess. If you can speak Japanese, I will recommend you to use Japanese. The food quality is very good and they will sometimes provide some very interesting dishes. For example, the lobster shell tempura, which shocked me at first but tasted not bad. I have mentioned Onsen before but there are a few more you might need to know. Since the hotel has a long history, you might need to take a shower in your room first then go to the Onsen in different places as there are no shower places in Onsen like other Ryokan. However, the onsen is very good so I will recommend you try as many as you can. Overall, the Rokan is expensive but absolutely worthy. I will recommend you to try it when you are free.

　The first time we chose the back of the inn at Shuzenji Onsen, it was the Yukoro Kikuya. It is located almost in the center of the hot spring town of Shuzenji, and if you follow the prefectural road that runs through the northern bank of the Katsura River, there is an entrance to the inn, and there is a parking lot next to it. From the entrance to the main body of the inn, you will pass over the lobby built on the bridge over the Katsura River. Check-in is done on the sofa in this lobby, so you can see the Katsura River from just above the river. As the name ”Yu Corridor” suggests, many hot water areas are connected by long corridors. From those hot springs, I could see the beautiful garden of the inn. The dinner I was looking forward to was called ”Quasi Sakana Kaiseki”, and I was able to choose some dishes as I liked. We were two of us, and we dared to eat different dishes, but each dish looked beautiful and very delicious. Our accommodation plan was a plan to have draft beer free in the private lounge, so we had draft beer in the hot spring and relaxed.

■ Location 　Take a bus (220 yen cash only) from Shuzenji Station and get off at Miyukibashi, 2-3 minutes. The other side across the new bridge along the Katsura River. About 7 minutes on foot from Shuzenji Onsen Station on the route bus. Large high-rise inn. The scenery might be beautiful during autumn leaves. ■Nearby Attractions We recommend going to Niji no Sato on a free electric bicycle. The bicycle was also made by Panasonic and was new, and it was powerful even on the slopes. You can get there in about 20 minutes. At Niji no Sato, you can enjoy steam locomotives and views of Mt. Fuji. Also, if you have a receipt for staying at Shuzenji Onsen, Niji no Sato will give you a 30% discount. ■ Room 　The room was spacious and the bed was set on tatami mats, so it was comfortable to sleep. It was nice to have a humidifier. ■ Meals Buffet style with a competitive number of items. If you are with children, you can enjoy it in an entertainment mood. It might be more fun if you make it a fair specification such as cotton candy. On the contrary, it is a mess, so it is not recommended for those who want to enjoy it slowly or emphasize the atmosphere. ■ Amenities 　In front of the Daily Yamazaki convenience store in the ryokan, you can take whatever you want as much as you like. I think that management efforts to reduce personnel and maintenance costs are rational, only for Obako Hotel. I think the service of choosing a yukata is very good. Wouldn't it be nice to have a special yukata for a fee? If there is a design that looks good on Instagram. ■ Hospitality 　The check-in time was around 17:00, so I contacted them in advance. At that time, there are only two dinners at 18:00 and 18:30, and the 19:45 two-part system is not being done at this time, so I hurried to the hotel without eating lunch. At the front desk of the inn, it was said that after 18:00, there would be a two-part system at 19:30, and there was a discrepancy between the phone and time. Although I complained about it, the woman at the reception was indifferent, with no apology or confirmation, whether the complaint was a daily occurrence. Perhaps the person on the phone misunderstood and told the time, but I asked if there was 19:45, and although I insisted that it was not, I regret that I told the wrong time. . I can't help but make a mistake, but I was disappointed because there was no follow-up at the reception.

Because there is a ”adult hideaway” on the official site, is the hotel and the facilities luxurious and the golf guest layer a little different? I thought, but the clubhouse is normal (feeling the year), and the hotel is a lot of Chinese tour guests. It's a fine thing, but I felt inconvenient because I usually said clocks and trash cans. I'm satisfied with the course, but the hotel is not revisited.

The Meijikan, a place of the western part of the Izu Peninsula, is located along the sea of the land called Tohi. I think that all rooms are ocean view and a nice inn with a good sea even on the low hierarchy. [Room] It was a room with a wide edge between 8 tatami mats and 4 tatami mats, and an independent washbasin by the bathroom. Is it a room of the inn that is commonly constructed from the Showa period? It is a room with a year, but there is no impression of ”old dirty” because it is cleaned properly. Since the power supply is small, it is recommended to bring in a power tap when charging a lot of IT equipment. Above all, the wide edge is a window, so the sea is firmly visible. It is a very comfortable space, especially when the sunset sinks from the room. At night, the same wide edge, all the lights are turned off and the windows are opened a little, and the outside lights and waves are cleared to the ears, and the sake is enjoyed. It's been a long time since I had such a luxury. [Hot spring] Although it is a long established inn, there is a clean feeling in the facilities and space. Of course, I feel the deteriorated part, but it is a pleasant space that can be seen that it is cleaned quite firmly. It is also nice to incorporate the light outside into the bath full of eyes. The water is clear, and the temperature is not too hot and too wet. I used it in the morning in the rental state, but this is also a luxury time. The cherry blossom rental open-air bath has two types: ”urara no Yu” and ”nukumi no Yu”. It costs 45 minutes and 2200 yen, but I think you can experience it once. The facilities are even more beautiful. There is also an inner hot water in the space made of wood, and you can spend an elegant time watching the sea in the open air outside. Of course, there is a good washroom. Unlike the public bath, this is a little hot because of the hot water of the water. You can add the amount of water to your preference and enjoy it even if it is slightly heated or firmly wet. [Meal] ※ This time it is unused. I will try to experience it next time. [In-house] 1F There are many activities in the lobby that children can enjoy, such as souvenir shops and sweets shops, game corners (※ when I visited, I was closed because of corona). There is a large cart for carrying luggage, and it is safe even if it is a big luggage with a child. In the room, there are too much comfort amenities for mothers such as mat and diaper for infants, and all of them are unified with characters and cute things, and it is a very happy service. At the reception, it was a service that was exhaustive for the child to provide a diaper if it was not enough. [Overall] A lodging that can be spent relaxing. Our room has a Mount Fuji view, which was great! However, the location of the hotel is situated on the hill, so May not be so convenient for travellers who don’t drive. Also, if you want to go to the public onsen within the hotel, you will have to take the shuttle bus, which is a bit inconvenient. However, overall this hotel is still a good choice!

I heard that it was a wonderful inn and took a 1 year old child. It is a little far from the downtown area of Shuzenji Onsen Town, but within walking distance, and if you walk while looking at the local residential area, you will find Yagyu no Sho quietly in the tree 々. The entrance was covered with ball gravel, and a good sound echoed, and when I entered the building, Murorei was beautiful from the entrance, and this time, new rice from Shuzenji was displayed. The paintings of Gunjaku are also very nice to match the atmosphere of the inn. The building is full of craftsmanship and the ikebana is beautiful. I stayed in the most affordable room this time, but the room is spacious 々, there are digging and dirt floors, and the bath is large enough for four family members to take. The rooms are also devised with various ideas such as flooring, wood, walls and ceilings, and you can enjoy the beauty of Japanese architecture. After serving matcha and sweets, I went to the open-air bath, but I walked up and down the stairs a little, but the bath is wide 々 and the green is beautiful. After the hot spring, you can enjoy dinner after asking for a 30-minute round trip to the inn by rickshaw at Shuzenji Onsen. At dinner time, the person in charge with the room came to greet me, but he was a very lovely and nice person and cared for me as Color 々. The food is as good as the reputation, and the color 々 is elaborate and fun and delicious. I'm glad you can bring warm and freshly prepared dishes in your room meals. After that, pull the futon and take a bath in the room and go to bed. The temperature of the bath can be adjusted, so I'm not good at hot water, so I asked for it at 39 degrees. The futon is single size and a little thick, so you may be worried that it will be a little cramped and roll down with a small child. Perhaps my child was hot, he escaped from the futon and slept on the tatami mats early 々. Lol The open-air bath is open at night, so if you are a couple, it's a good idea to go to the hot spring instead of the hot spring. The breakfast was refreshing and delicious, and when I quickly took another open-air bath, I bought Shuzenji's new rice and specialty donko that were displayed at the entrance sold at the shop and checked out in the room. .. At the entrance of the see-off, the landlady greeted me, but she was a wonderful woman. Isn't it really the top level as an inn that you can visit with your children? It was a really great stay. Izumi Shinkai Hanatei, who has always wanted to stay there. The reason was that I wanted to eat the chef's dishes that won 1 Michelin star for 4 consecutive years. In conclusion, looking at the reviews of other people, it seems that they are not there now. Certainly, I used to recommend Michelin Chef on the homepage, but now it has not been published at all. I knew I wasn't there after I returned to my room after dinner. I don't know if it's Buddha, I don't know if my taste is still there, or if the chef who took over is raising his arm, but from appetizers to rice, to Japanese breakfast, Everything was very delicious. My impression is that there is no such thing as a strict word of mouth about cooking, and I am sure that I am seriously accepting the strict words and improving the dishes. Looking at the photos of the previous dishes, it may not be gorgeous enough to be fascinated, but I think the taste is certain. The hospitality of the young staff 々 was also good. Of course, I am grateful for the open-air bath that flows directly from the source of the room. Next time, it is an inn that expects how evolved dishes will come out. It is one of the inns I want to visit again.
