Avin Hotel

I spent a night at thus hotel. The location is at the center approximately and great access to famous places like konak square. Kind staffs and good food in comparison to a 3 star hotel. Usually the hotela in izmir in case of being old, are like apartments

Great hotel, great area and they are really polite, defenitely worth going there, they treat you really good, they even gave us free coffee twice A good experience, prices are cheap and affordable. The guy at reception is a really nice guy, even though i didnt catch his name.

This hotel experience was absolutely horrible. We had driven hours from Istanbul and arrived late at 3am, exhausted and ready for bed. We booked a non-smoking room. We got up to the room and the stench gave us instant headaches and a cough. It was as if 5 people were smoking in the room at once. There were ashtrays in the room and the window was wide open and it still smelled that bad. We called down and the front desk guy kept saying he didn’t understand us because we spoke English. Although he did speak English when it suited him. We used a translator app and requested a different room but were told there were no other rooms available. The manager said that they cannot control whether people smoke in the rooms or not. However I pointed out the ashtrays in the rooms and the lobby, and the advertised “non-smoking room” that we had booked, labelling this as false advertising. We asked for a refund and assistance in finding an alternative hotel. A refund was refused and we had to reach out to ******* to assist us. We were standing in the lobby until 5am, the manager was no help, he was argumentative, took no ownership in the false advertising or assisting us with a refund or alternative rooming options. And as we left, we watched the manager smoke in the lobby, then pointing out to him that this is in fact a full smoking property, and no part of it is non-smoking. I’m thankful for ******* to getting us a refund and another hotel organized. I do not recommend this place at all.

This hotel is absolutely terrible, dirty, smelly and rundown. We booked a non-smoking room which does not exist in this hotel, it is a smoking hotel and everywhere stinks enough to give you an instant headache. The staff was rude, not accommodating when we asked for a different room that was actually non-smoking, argumentative when we pointed out the false advertising, very unhelpful and took 0 ownership. I would highly recommend against staying here, there are plenty other hotels in the area that would be better options. This hotel is definitely not suitable for children or families.
