It is very close to the Galata Tower. You can go there to take pictures when the hotel opens in the morning! There are many small shops nearby and the restaurants nearby are also popular. The surrounding security is OK. I encountered drunks making trouble, but they were with the police. They must have been spotted and expelled as soon as they came out. The restaurant has a great view and is a great place for taking pictures. The room with a balcony is also very unique. The small elevator for two people is very fun. We waren er voor het diner na een tip van de gastvrouw die we ontmoetten op straat. Superb uitzicht, beste rooftop van Istanbul. Mooie bar, gezellig en stijlvol. Mooi aanbod dranken en gerechten. Vriendelijke en attente bediening. Aanrader!

Fantastic visit. We are always nervous after reading some of the negative reviews, but they couldn’t be further from the truth. The staff are truly wonderful — so helpful and accommodating. The room has character and is in really great shape. No, it’s not a new build like some of the mega hotels - but that’s why we picked this one. The location couldn’t be any better, and it’s such a plus to have a relatively quiet rooftop bar/restaurant right on site. We would absolutely return to this hotel in the future.

quelle déception que notre passage au rooftop de cet hôtel … l’endroit est magnifique, la vue extraordinaire mais le service et l’accueil tellement lamentable que le vue ne suffit pas ! manque de professionnalisme, manque de réflexe, de bon sens, bref les serveurs autant l’un que l’autre n’ont absolument pas assuré. Il y a plein d’autres rooftops à Istanbul certainement bien plus sympas

Love this place
LOVE LOVE LOVE. Stayed there on two separate occasions during my multi city vacation in early April. My boyfriend and I stayed first when we got to Istanbul for a couple of nights and because we liked it so much, my daughter and her husband booked a room for our return trip after being in Ezurum for her wedding. The location is unbeatable. You can see the Galata tower from the street outside the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, quaint, clean, but its the employees that make it exceptional. The owner is also extremely friendly and a pleasure to speak with.

We stayed at Georges Hotel Galata and absolutely loved it!
The location is perfect — right by Galata Tower on a charming street, close to everything yet still peaceful.
What really made it special was the staff — so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. On our last morning, the owner of the hotel even came to our breakfast table just to ask how our stay was going — such a thoughtful gesture that really stuck with us.
The rooftop is stunning — you get to see the beauty of Istanbul from above, especially during breakfast. The rooms were clean, stylish, and super comfortable.
The staff were honestly some of the kindest, most helpful people I’ve met while traveling. Always smiling, always ready to help, and truly made us feel like we were staying with friends or family — not just at a hotel.
Huge thank you to the whole team at Georges for making our stay in Istanbul so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!
