I'll start with the cons (you look for them in the reviews :)):
- the water in the shower often didn't drain and if you took a shower in the evening or right after cleaning, the water could smell like sewage. After daily cleaning everything was fine, apparently the staff knows how to solve this problem, we just couldn't figure it out.
- the elevator is a bit inconvenient, if you go up with a suitcase, you'll have to squeeze in.
And now about the pros that completely offset any cons:
+ Ideal location. Five minutes walk to the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the ferry crossing, the T1 tram and 1 minute (literally turn the corner) to Marmaray (the metro to the Asian part of the city). That is, you'll be there in 10 minutes after leaving the hotel, if you want to.
+ Daily cleaning while you are having breakfast
+ Breakfasts in the hotel restaurant with very friendly staff, who will even pour you tea and coffee (you can pour it yourself, it is freely available, it is just hospitality on their part)
+ View from the window to the most beautiful street where the T1 tram runs (we lived on the 5th floor, there was no noise)
+ Free luggage storage after check-out (this is not just a request, but a specific free service, already included in the price, each baggage is marked with a sticker and taken to storage - you don't have to worry)
+ Bidet. This was not even in Chinese hotels. It turns out to be a very convenient thing.
+ Ideal ratio of cost / amenities / location
We were there in February, off-season, but if we come again at another time, we will consider staying here - it is simply convenient and comfortable. But I would not strongly recommend staying here, otherwise the owners will read it and raise the price :)
