Skala Sunset is a true hidden gem in Ios. Perched above Chora, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the village and sea—ideal for watching the sunset with a cocktail by the pool. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself is clean, stylish, and well-equipped with a spa and shuttle service. An unforgettable spot to unwind and enjoy the magic of the Cyclades. Highly recommended!

no food at the property other than breakfast in the morning. they say there’s an all day menu, not true. the poolside bar rarely has someone working there and it is very hard to find someone to talk to

Amazing sunsets overlooking the skyline
This hotel is situated on top of the hill and the view is simply amazing, you'll feel like you're transcended somewhere else. There is a fantastic pool, a small restaurant, free parking, and massage services on site which makes it very convenient to not have to leave the property if you just want to take it easy and relax. It's fairly close to two supermarkets for supplies and also Chora with a number of great restaurants/entertainment, but be prepared for a really steep hike. Also, if you are a light sleeper, you should anticipate you'll hear everything next door. I didn't mind this too much as I was fortunately put in a corner unit and slept like a log from all the great hiking nearby. Finally, the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't know about the shuttle service they have from 10am-3pm and they helped squeeze me into catch a last minute ferry - really kind people! Note: Cash only if you are paying at the hotel directly

Nice Place except for the Hill Climb!
Everything is Great about this place, especially the view of the Town, except for the 1 Kilometre walk up a Very Steep Hill!! Made me only want to walk down and back into Chora once a day because of it…
Hire a Car or Quad bike to commute around the island, you’ll be glad you did!!

Fantastic views
Accomodation consists of separate apartment type buildings. Pool area is first class. Breakfast is excellent with various options. Only possible problem may be the walk back to hotel as it is situated up a very extreme hill.

Posizione stupenda con panorama sulla chora e tramonto. La struttura è piccola e tranquilla e gode di una bellissima piscina, peccato però che lettini e materassi fossero in pessime condizioni, sporchi strappati e ammuffiti. Servizio bar buono, colazione ricca con la cuoca super simpatica, pulizia scarsa. La camera era ristrutturata (cosi ci hanno detto quando ho chiesto una camera piu nuova) ma di ristrutturato c’era solo il bagno minuscolo. Il proprietario è venuto a prenderci al porto e si è mostrato disponibile e simpatico tranne l’ultimo giorno che ci ha letteralmente buttati fuori alle 11 del mattino. Lampadine mancanti in camera e mentre ero a letto sono stata punta da un ragno.

Appena terminata la mia meravigliosa vacanza a ios. Ho prenotato questo hotel con larghissimo anticipo approfittando di una super offerta… sono arrivata un po’ timorosa… in grecia è difficile trovare un buon posto a prezzo basso… il titolare è venuto a prenderci al porto e ci ha portati in struttura dove ci ha accolto una vista mozzafiato sulla chora che di per sè vale tutto il prezzo del soggiorno. Camere comode, spaziose e soprattutto pulite (mai darlo per scontato), che sono state pulite ogni giorno con quotidiano cambio degli asciugamani. Colazione ricchissima a buffet sia dolce che salata. C’è solo il piccolo problema della strada in salita che, a piedi, è davvero tosta, ma io sono del parere che a ios serva la macchina per cui non ho avuto questo problema. Abbiamo cenato, bene, anche nel loro ristorante, the mills, all’ingresso della chora. Posto assolutamente consigliato. Non torno mai nello stesso posto, ma ios mi è rimasta nel cuore e vorrei tornarci. Non ho dubbi; tornerei a skala
