Waverley Inn Apartments

Just stayed in a one bedroom apartment initially for just 5 nights but had to keep extending my stay due to family illness. I was very worried about staying due to the negative reviews I had read on several sites, especially as I was on my own. You get your keys from the guest house just around the corner. 2 minute walk to the apartment block. Appartments are accessed by a locked main door. Yes, it was unlocked 2 occasions in a morning when linen and housekeeping were present but locked the rest of the time i stayed. My apartment was well equipped. It was clean and tidy. My bedding and towels were fresh. I texted and spoke to Robert several times over my 2 weeks, and he always replied quickly. Any small issue I had was rectified, and housekeeping were great giving me fresh towels, bin bags etc. The building is a little tired and could do with a lick of paint in places especially in communal hallways. The appartment walls do need attention with holes and general wear and tear marks here and there. BUT the furniture and beds are of good quality and the mattress comfy I slept well. The kitchen had everything i needed. Shower was great but the bathroom tap a little impractical as pressure is very low and water just trickles out of it. Being right in the centre of town has its advantages and disadvantages. Its very very noisy every night if your room faces Church Street with music from the pubs and general noise. I loved watching the world go by and always travel with ear plugs, so they were a must!! There were lots of bouncers at night at club/pub doorways, so I felt very safe, especially coming back late at night. Lots of shops and restaurants right outside, a taxi office, and bus stops right across the road. Please don't be put off by the negative reviews. It's certainly not 5 star luxury, but it's clean and practical, and I would have no hesitation in staying there again.... with my earplugs, tho!

There's better in Inverness! If there's one thing I can't abide in 2024, it's poor or no wifi. Also, the rmote control.didn't work so, I had to resort to my phone to watch tv. When I complainined about this to the elederly gentleman on the desk, I received a withered look and he was no help.at all.The bedroom had an old drinks carton lying around on arrival too

A little loud. I found the area a little loud at night. In hinse sight, it is across the street from a few pubs in the heart of Iverness.

The pillows are the fluffiest i’ve ever felt. I also loved the attention to detail. Very luxurious and definitely coming back here again. I wish I stayed more than one night as it was definitely worth the money. it’s only a 10 minute walk from the towns city centre
