Lovely hotel. Staff were more than helpful. Particularly Kai who served us with a smile and he was very helpful in finding us somewhere suitable to eat for 8 of us at the last minute. He also facilitated a last minute birthday cake request. Lovely young man

Please stay far away from this hotel. Lies, false accusations, broken promises! On arrival, no restaurant or food but with no prior warning. No-one on front desk when checking in. Checked in and went up to room. Ran water in bathroom sink and it filled up with human hair and beard shavings floating in the water. Sink blocked so I had to clear it out. Have raised this with the Manager following departure to be told that the room was signed off by the cleaning staff as clean. I must be a liar then! Walk to town in the evening and arrive back at hotel at about 10.45pm to find our access fob wasn't set up correctly so we are locked out of hotel. Call the mobile number on the front door to be told we have to wait outside for 45 minutes to 1 hour as there are no staff present on site and can we sit in our car?! As we walked into the City, we didn't have the keys obviously! Cold night with no jacket so we had to wake a resident after being outside for 20 minutes to be let in, and you can imagine the reception we got! I advised the staff on the phone that I would be seeking a refund and was told this could be sorted on check out. When checking out, no Senior staff there to agree the refund so I advised the young lady that I would like to get this resolved. She called a Senior member of staff and I heard the phone call, where it was agreed a refund would be given on the credit card the booking was made under. I thanked the member of staff and was very happy wit the outcome. Refund wasn't given, so when I called the Manager Tarek he firstly denied all knowledge of any issues, then when 'remembering' my complaint and having had to issue many e-mails he has constantly found excuses not to give me the refund which was promised by his staff. He has used the following; 1. I only had to wait outside for 20 minutes, even though this was down to my own actions rather his staff getting to the hotel early to let us in. Also completely ignoring the fact we shouldn't have been locked out of the hotel for ANY period of time! 2. Accused me of lying about the sunk being blocked, claiming the cleaning staff had signed off the cleanliness of the room. 3. Accused me of being aggressive to the member of staff in the morning and because they felt nervous this is why they agreed to the refund. Yet when dealing with them in the morning they couldn't have been more helpful so why would I have needed to become aggressive? 4. Referred to company policies about it being ok to wait outside in the cold for only 20 minutes, yet has so far failed to provide any evidence of these policies. All in all, a really nice evening and time in Inverness spoiled by one person's inability to provide suitable customer service! Especially when the company agreed to the refund, yet the Manager then didn't honour the agreement, and when questioned has tried to find every excuse and falsely accuse me of things to get out of administering the refund. The staff were absolutely delightful and couldn’t have been nicer. Checking in was easy and smooth, the manager took us up to our room and told us all the relevant information that we needed know, like how to use key card for room. The room was really clean and well presented, I would definitely come back and stay at the crown court again.
